Brilliant old style fish and chip shop. Great staff, lovely food and ridiculously inexpensive. Stumbled on this establishment when passing through. Now I go out of my way to visit Louth and always pop into the fish shop. Not had a proper fish scallop since I was a kid and now 60 years later, there they are with a good portion of fantastic chips for well under £4. Happy days
Very welcoming, pleasant and efficient staff. Good fish and chips, but only good. The haddock has small flakes and very little flavour. The jumbo size is very little difference in size from the regular. They do an option of a light batter which is well worth choosing. Good pot of tea.Food: 3/5
My wife had Scampi and I had haddock and we both agree that the place is really good. We recommend! The place is usually full and there is a line to order, so go early. But it's worth the wait.Food: 5/5
5* +++ This is the best place for Fish and Chips. We had the most melt in the mouth Jumbo Haddock and Chips to take away. The best we have ever tasted in the UK and great value for money. We wish we lived here.
Simple Chip cone and chip butty to take away , spot on , chucked a few scraps in and curry sauce . It’s now in my top 3 chipButties of all time , friendly staff and service and good price , give it a try
Have been here a few times for take out. Food is always good and you get plenty for your money. Recently decided to eat in... it was around lunchtime on a Friday... short wait for a table but well worth it. Massive portions and absolutely delicious... Will definitely eat in there again. Family run, polite staff... made to feel very welcome.
Have often had excellent fish and chips from here. Today however was hoping to sit in and have a small haddock and chips to be told they cannot serve that in the restaurant, even though the portions were sitting in the cabinet. We would happily have paid an extra charge on account of eating in. Sadly this "no can't do that" attitude is all the more common these days and loses loyal customers.
Don't be the first customer in when they re-open at 4 pm as you will probably get lunchtime leftovers warmed up. Very disappointing !
Rubbish service only one group in waitress decidee to stand talking rather than take my order so after nearly 10 minutes i went to macdonalds no quite the same but better servics
