The Electricity At Work Reguations require *as may be necessary to prevent danger, all systems shall be maintained so as to prevent so far as is reasonably practicable, such danger*

The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 places an obligation for us to do this so the requirements can be met:

Performing in-service inspection and testing
User checks
Formal visual inspections
Combined inspections
Performing maintainence, replacing defective items(depending on results)
Keeping up-to-date records - to show means of compliance
