Great modern hotel. Free cocktail on arrival. Good location, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Quiet despite being a Friday night. Good breakfast selection. Friendly staff. All areas clean and tidy.nnCommunal areas are good with pool table, table football etc.nnSmall parking lot at an additional charge which was full when we arrived however we did manage to get a space behind the hotel which was operated by Ringo.nnLifts are small and slow.
I’ve stayed here numerous times since this hotel’s inception and have always been delighted by the customer service, especially from Ala!! He’s always gracious, professional, inviting, and most of all customer centric. This most recent stay, he ensured some room issues I had were taken care of immediately to my satisfaction. Oh, and Justin is also awesome! Overall, Ala and the staff make the stay that much more welcoming because I don’t feel like just another passerby customer. Truly appreciate it!
Funky and much done well but room was freezing. No central heating in the hotel. We had to get a fan heater from reception also the Lavazza coffee machine in the room was broken. No fridge or any biscuits... Tetley tea, yuck. OK hotel, but let down by no heating and dodgy gadgets in the room.nnUpdate....Day 2. My wife manged to work out the coffee machine. It's fine - my bad! Heating is available via air con in the room. They are slow to start and so fan heater was necessary to get warmth in the room initially, but after five of six hours the air con managed to keep the room warm but with he noise of the fan.nnStaff have been ace.nnRoom and bathroom very well appointed. Wheelchair access great and the accessible bathroom we had was great - shower seat, fold up/down arm rests. All functional and at the right height for me. Large space and I anticipate the design and layout enough to cater for a large number of different abilities.nnI recommended the hotel. Just be mindful of the heating - no issue in the summer months of course. x
It’s in a good business district location. Claim and modern. Typical Marriott and that the service is very friendly and the bed is very comfortable. Plenty of hot water.nnLike the other moxie brand hotels, the room itself is small, but it certainly workable. The only limitation might be as if you need a larger desk space to work you won’t get it here.nnThere’s a really large amount of common area space on the first floor. Pool tables, and a lot of other amenities which you can see. It’s absolutely crazy how much commentary space is actually.nnThere’s also a very nice workout room with a couple treadmills and plenty of free weights.nnThere’s a couple of restaurants across the street and you can eat at the hotel. There’s also a very large Sainsbury’s across the street for food.
I would highly recommend this place if you have children, my child is aged 7 and we enjoyed playing the various games that were available in the hotel together.nnThe staff that we came across were all very lovely to myself and my child. I also needed a charger which they kindly let me use, this was extremely helpful as I need my phone for payment/navigation and my charger had sadly broke.nnThe food was sadly a disappointment. I ordered a hot dog and it was very small in comparison to what I would have expected especially for the price.nnThe fries would have been lovely had they not appeared to be over cooked, some if not most of them were incredibly dry. The wings my child had were nice.nnBreakfast I only liked the fact that you were permitted to take a small to go bag which was really nice to carry pastries. Sadly, the pastries were the only nice thing as the hash browns were dry on the outside and soggy in the middle. The sausages appeared to be incredibly strange really dark on the outside and very weird texture in the centre.nnI was really disappointed on the food as I always look forward to a hotel buffet breakfast. Also, with our main meal it was such a shame as I wanted to treat my child and I to something nice.nnAside from that the interior is nice in the hotel, the bed was comfortable. No free water in the room, I think every hotel should at least have water in the room. I’m pregnant and would have appreciated having even water in the room to buy instead of going downstairs.
