well I cant say they were V unhelpful as they wouldn't even answer the phone!! 1st I heard someone then phone went dead, 2nd woman answers then it cuts off, then 3 times it rings then switches to engaged as if someone deliberately cuts it off. OK so you dont want my business, thats a sale of 2 tyres you just lost. Heres and important sales tip, ANSWER THE PHONE but if you dont want the business you WONT get it what a bunch of losers

Very unhelpful and unfriendly on the phone. Also incorrect information relating to parts (radiator caps). Tried a local independent parts store instead and the service was great.

Having now retired after many years working in the motor trade and using a plethora of car part suppliers over the years, I have to say that I am quite disappointed with this outlet, they are far from competitive in my experience. For the benefit of the doubt, I've visited this branch a few times to order parts, primarily because it should be both convenient to collect, and also return any items if it they are wrong or faulty. Plus I like to keep trade local. Sadly, I have never actually bought anything because their quotes are so high! Having worked in the motor trade for many years, I am well aware that they have both a trade price and a public price for each item, and I am well aware that as I am not in the trade anymore I will pay the more expensive public price, it is the same at all motor factors, I accept that. However, the prices Motor Parts Direct have quoted me are typically twice as expensive as quotes I have received online via other suppliers, I simply refuse to pay such an extortionate price and end up walking away empty handed. So, each time I have resorted to ordering the parts online from other suppliers, waited a few days for the parts to arrive and successfully fitted them for substantially less money. As for the staff, generally they do not seem very interested in dealing with people who walk through the door and clearly do not relish the thought of dealing with the public. That said, to be fair there is one tall younger assistant who is always very polite and helpful, but he is sadly let down by his colleagues. In my professional and non-professional capacity, I feel that Motor Parts Direct in Tavistock do not actually like to deal with the public and I suggest people seek their parts else where.
