Having visited yet again I would reduce the star rating purely on the parking situation at the KFC end. Unless you have a blue badge or children the parking is awful. It's still laid out in old narrow spaces with a one-way system that nobody bothers with. It's not laid out to accommodate larger vehicles and today I just turned away. I couldn't be bothered negotiating the narrow space and observed a man who had done so but when he tried to get out of his vehicle there wasn't enough room to open the door fully. I turned away and won't be going back.
I honestly think this place needs a total revamp or better still relocated to a new area ravenscraig its so run down and its just not appealing in the slightest. If you don't live in Motherwell or near it, then it wouldn't be a destination you would be willing to go to and you will likely go elsewhere like Hamilton or Glasgow Fort or EK.
Few big shops everywhere has disabled access on a wee bit of a slope but nothing too dramatic loads of outdoor seats if you need a rest
Easy access via car parking, bus station and the railway station. There is a decent variety of shops for all of your basic needs. I wouldn't recommend as a place to go to buy furniture or fancy clothes but all the everyday basics are catered for. The streets are clean and well kept.
It's got shops that are handy but the vibe of the place can suck all joy from the human soul
