Although I was not happy with the product, I could not fault the staff one bit, the service was incredible. They made me feel like I was their priority and they spent so much time fitting numerous car seats in my car, they were not going to leave me until I was happy. Claire and Tara are the girls I can remember and they were very helpful!
We were served by Lauren and Carrie while looking for a pushchair and car seat and they were both fantastic and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend going to the store early, giving you time to have a look around and ask lots of questions. Thank you Lauren and Carrie for all your help, we came away with the Oyster 3 pushchair and Joie Ispin car seat and both are perfect.
I went for car seat fitting here , Very poor service was told a car seat fitted my car but clearly didn’t as it was lose and moving about far too much . I would hate to know what would of happened in a crash, the girl doing the fitting lacked knowledge of car seats didn’t explain anything and overall offered bad advise. Then before she was finished talking to me started talking to another customer about a car seat down right rude. Avoid here and go somewhere else !!
Worst customer service possible!!! Order a Baby Jacket online to collect from Tamworth store. Delivery date was 11/01/2018 but we didn't receive any confirmation that our order is available for collection. When I tried to call mothercare central helpline number to check it it's available for collection, helpline was playing a recorded message that it is temporary down for unknown reason. Tried to phone store number to check & spoke to Mellisa. She said that she need 1 hour to check if my order is available for collection in store. 1 Hour just to check?? In this time and age how come anyone need 1 hour just to check in store if order is available for collection. Very very disappointed!!! & it's not the 1st time, previously mothercare messed up our other order as well. Order a baby toy for collection in store and received an email for collection. Upon arrival we were informed that item we order is discontinue and no longer available. After we showed them that same item is available in store. Staff were trying to prove that it's a different item. But after we show them that it's exactly the same item we order online they reluctantly agree to give that us.
Very busy but they had a ticketing system that worked well. Didn't have to wait long to get my granddaughter and grandsons feet measured. Only 4 stars though as the measuring system didn't seem accurate for my granddaughter as after trying on shoes she ended up getting double the size that the fitting machine recommended. When queried the assistant said it's not so accurate as they get older, i might as well have gone to somewhere like asda then and paid a fraction of the price! Also not much choice for older girls either i.e. 8yrs. Mothercare need to do more styles that appeal to older girls.
No wonder Mothercare aren’t doing well. Completly disorganised and poor service. We went to pick up an order and only half was brought out despite confirming the numbers several times, the sales girl just stared blankly when I told her. Decided to exchange one item for another and ended up in store for nearly an hour needing to get a manager to take over. No notification was sent to confirm that the new order was in store and had to wait for a call back to confirm having contacted them as they were all too busy. The products are good just a shame about the service.
Good quality clothing and shoes, although s bit pricier than other shops selling children’s clothing. Generally have the sizes you need in stock. Have bought my Cosatto pram from there previously and I found the staff very helpful with ordering and choosing the right pram for us. Also they didn’t try to up sell me a car seat other than who I needed. They only drawback is their selection of ELC toys is a bit lacking and you can find similar toys at nearby Smyths at a cheaper price.
Prices higher than elsewhere but saying that their sales can be very good from time to time. Occassionally there is the odd product that doesnt have a price on it. Something needs doing with the gents toilets, one of the toilet seats is missing and there is an underlying smell that has been there on several occassions
Fantastic service from Carrie at the Tamworth store she was incredibly patient and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will be booking in for our personal shop with her.
Great to see lots more staff in store 15/10/17, just a shame they've not been trained properly. Also a shame to see them all standing around having a natter.
