Mossley Mill in Newtownabbey is more than just a historical landmark; it's a vibrant complex offering something for everyone. Here's a breakdown of my visit:nnMuseum: This excellent museum delves into the fascinating history of the mill, from its 19th-century origins to its closure in 1995. Interactive exhibits and informative displays showcase the lives of the workers and the linen production process.nTheatre: This intimate theatre puts on a variety of productions, from local plays and musicals to comedy nights and children's shows. It boasts a charming setting and comfortable seating, making it a great choice for an evening out.nRestaurant: While I didn't dine here myself, Mossley Mill Restaurant has received positive reviews for its modern Irish cuisine in a stylish setting.nnThings to Consider:nnWhile the museum is a great place for history buffs, it might not hold the same appeal for young children. Consider your group's interests when planning a visit.nParking can be tight, especially during peak times or events at the theatre. Arrive early to secure a spot.
Attended the garden plant show which was very well organised.nPlenty of free parking and a visitors centre with spotless clean toilets.nWithin the grounds are beautiful grounds for walking.
Lovely place to visit if you're interested in the history of Glengormley and the Mill.nNice cafe for a cuppa and bite to eat.nThe mill dam is a put and take fishery and fish can been seen swimming under the platform.
Great spot for walk along the pathway with the stream near bye. Great scenery and wildlife.nReally surprised to see reading boxes with books for all tastes in reading.nMy first time here and looking forward to going again.
Good food and a light and airy atmosphere make this an excellent venue for a catch up , a meal or just a coffee
