Food was amazing! We stayed on for the pub quiz Tuesday night and it was such a good night! Really enjoyed ourselves. It was my mums birthday, they brought the cake out and sang happy birthday to her, it was lovely. Would highly recommend!
Coeliac friendly offering. Food good standard. Evening live entertainment was a little loud. Staff very attentive but not too bothersome. Management very watchful to ensure our visit was enjoyable. Fixed “Stall” type seating by bar was a little cramped. Recommend booking beforehand.
Lovely soup, lovely house burger, lovely location/interior,homely atmosphere. Great service, pleasant, friendly staff, reasonably priced. I highly recommend! Only reason for 4 stars, is that there's not much parking. Can't be helped .
Sorry first of all for my terrible photo of a half eaten meal. Probably doesn't do it justice. We went for Sunday carvery and it was fantastic. There was great choice for everyone. All kinds of Bovine, piggy, large South American feathered friends and piscine options for those ready to devour layered slabs of meat. But lucky for me there was the weirdos options of squashed up bean burger and pretend fake duck wraps. I opted for the 'duck' and it was seriously good food. The salad and dip were amazing. My partner had the veggie burger which was ace. The carnivores amongst us were all rubbing their oversized bellies and loosening their belts by a notch due to the generous helpings of carved meat. The puddings were OK, but just knocked a star off. A few murmurings about the cheesecake and the apple pie. Great experience overall.
I had been to the Mosset Tavern before but I was keen to try it again. I had had a very good walk in Forres and I was quite hungry by the time I arrived here. I had not booked it was Friday afternoon so I took a chance. Thankfully I got a table as I was dining on my own. I thought the menu choice was good and I opted for the Balmoral Chicken which is breast of chicken stuffed with haggis. I did not have long to wait. I had an Americano Coffee to finish my lunch. I really enjoyed my visit, the welcome I received and the food was so tasty with a nice sauce. I would advise booking in advance especially for families.
Friendly staff and really good food at Forres. Join the restaurant and even better dive into Forres nightlife at the bar with folks I all ages enjoying a broad selection of Scottish Whiskey and great tap beers.
Good food, Friendly staff, and quiet relaxing atmosphere!
1st time ever being here and it was for a wedding. Such a beautiful place, the food was good, staff were lovely and really took care of everyone!
Was amazing. Staff are so lovely and food was so delicious. Lots for gluten free. Beautiful setting.
Went for late Sunday Lunch on a recommendation, we were not disappointed. Beautiful setting, we were sat down promptly and our order taken in good time. We all had the carvery. It was very nice, good portion size with lots of well cooked vegetables, the Yorkshire puddings were good and service from carvery chef was good. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would go back again.
