We are a traditional, family run, free hold pub. Serving quality, locally sourced food at lunch times and evenings, with a popular Sunday Carvery!

Story

We have a large friendly bar (where dogs are welcome) with a pool table, darts board and TV. Also providing local ales and ciders for a refreshing drink. Or come see our new comfortable lounge with plenty of room and comfortable sofas; meet for drinks and a chat.
Have a sample of our fresh coffee made from freshly grounded coffee beans with the choose of syrups.
Bring the family down to have a meal in the restaurant where we serve fresh homemade locally sourced food. Also overlooking the large beer garden.
We have a function room available for all types of meetings or parties. Contact us for prices.

Our Family are born and bred in Herefordshire and have been based around Mortimers Cross Inn over the years. In 2014 we decided to purchase the Inn making a free house and decorated the building giving this grade building the loved it has deserved.

outstanding family owned and run hotel and restaurant. I found the price excellent, as was the friendly atmosphere, The cooked english breakfast was a joy as I live in France and always look forward to bacon eggs sausage tomato mushroom ....it certainly did not disappoint. The pub food was very good too with the special being slow cooked Ox cheeks that were surely prepared using local produce for the family butcher that allows the meat to be hanged longer so it has more taste. The owner is demanding and very correct supported by her daughters and some local people..however she said that finding a chef has been an issue and she gets rid of those that do not perform or cut corners...she prefers to cook the stuff herself but continues to search for a good chef! I travel a lot and was well pleased..Highly recommended..

Excellent food extremely good selection of drinks and excellent staff to serve.

Recently had a family celebration here, the food was great, the staff were very helpful from planning to the staff behind the bar on the evening. The rooms were clean and tidy, sadly we didn't have time to take advantage of the jacuzzi baths. Breakfast was great.
