I can't believe how down hill this store has gone.. Shelves are filled with empty boxes and i find myself have to virtually climb into shelves to find produce right at the back. No one seems to be taking control of keeping the shop clean and the staff are just rude. They seem like they don't want to be there and the customers are just in the way, specially when they're doing the Amazon orders. The managers honestly need removing and replaced with competent ones as they don't seem to care either! When i asked one if they could check the back for an item, i received a response, "if it's not on the shelf we a haven't got it...." when clearly they hadn't even bothered to do anything with stock on the floor. I use to spend around £100-200 a week here on shopping and then an extra £100 on petrol on the way out. now that's £300 a week going to other stores in the area because of your staff. It's not just me either, as other people i know have stopped going to. What a shame bad management can completely ruin a store that has been there for so long..
Went to get my petrol today and then had a wander in store for a few bits whilst in the vicinity as I entered I thought at first there had been a power cut the store was cold and dark this was 2pm I started to look around and found it impossible to see prices let alone sizes on the garments. I said to the assistant who was filling shelves is it cold and dark in here ? Or is it me? Yes she said it's cold and dark due to cut backs on energy. I struggle to see in the best of light so not a good shopping experience for myself. When I go out to do a bit of shopping it's nice to go into a well lit warm store I'm a pensioner and at the moment it's doom and gloom at home with soaring food and energy prices but I at least expect a nice shopping experience when I'm spending the little money I have. I'm sure if they brightened up the store it would attract more customers. The huge cafe had one lone lady sat having a brew so it must cost something to keep everything going. Special genuine Christmas offers in the store and cafe I'm sure would bring back shoppers. It's the first time I've ever had to shop in the DARK.
Relaxed and chilled store. So much so that in the evening the staff wander around with their phones in hand ... The fresh produce and fish area could do with a new manager, one who maybe knows about cleaning products. The checkout staff are polite and helpful. I feel sorry for the cleaning company who has to clean the toilets we went in around 22:00hrs the gents were so bad I walked across the carpark to Mc Donald's then came back to finish the shopping. Maybe the store is underfunded and lacking in skilled staff. Needs a good shake up and the area manager to have an unannounced late evening walk around.
This used to be a lovely place to shop, but recently if you arrive after 3 on a Saturday uou might as well as forget the butchers and fish counters there is never anybody serving. You can wait for well over 15 minutes. I have.
Car park is full of people blocking the road trying to get to McDonald's. Don't go at night because there are youths partying at the back of the car park with their McDonald's smoking pot. The store has reduced range but full prices in Asda are cheaper than Morrisons in the first place. The florist is outstanding though. Definitely worth stopping here if you need flowers
They do sell nice quality products and have a great range. The set up is a bit different from other supermarkets due to the 'market style' but when you find your way about its very good. Prices are a little higher than Aldi but the variety is vastly better.
Morrison's certainly IS the place to be It has everything you could need under one roof We started our visit in the cafe where we had a beautifully presented Breakfast at amazing value and then had a slow walk around the store, picking up lots of quality produce and brilliant bargains. Well worth a trip
Wish I had known about this peak time "dark hour" they apparently hold every Saturday morning. Sorry, but it is ridiculous. You couldn't see anything properly on the shelves and some of the aisles were REALLY dim and dark. Hated it till they finally put the lights back on about 10.15am. Be warned. All this minority nonsense will cost them shoppers, I think. A lot like us were complaining about it as we had no idea this was even a thing !! To my way of thinking, if these people need quiet hours then first thing Saturday morning isn't it. Hold them on a week night at 9pm for example, when it would be quiet
Nice store, lovely and clean. However click and collect is a shambles, went to look for someone to advise me where to find click and collect and i was told twice outside but go to customer service. Customer service sent me outside to a rundown old garden centre bit, stood there for 10-15mins then went back in and security helped me he had to call them to assist. Bit of a palaver for something that's actually made to make your life easier!
Shop on December 26, purchased a turkey which displayed 75% would be Rajendra off ticket price. Completed my shop and the checkout person said they had many problems that day relating to the discount as the turkey had skis been reduced which was displayed on the reduced ticket. Checkout person who was extremely polite assured the manager she had summoned that they had dealt with similar issues . The manager Advised the the discount applied to the original price. I reminded her that this should have been referred to on the display and the law relating to misleading advertisements on the ticket. The manager was unapologetic, didn’t care I had been left waiting for over ten minutes and then took the turkey back. I checked the isle having completed payment to see the same misleading advert displayed over the above. Total disgrace and wondered how this person had made her position. When the check out staff were extremely polite. Will try Sainsburys next time.
