Went in today 1st November 2024 at around 1745. A very poor showing on market street for a company that prides itself on making it themselves. No small baguettes and only 2 large ones, limited fresh bread available, seems to have stopped making their ciabatta loaves, the hot chicken section looked nearly abandoned, the fruit and veg looked decimated. Seemed to be plenty of, I'll say managers, stood around but nothing being done. If this was a one off occurrence then I wouldn't have posted a review, but the amount of times I have gone in and waited at a counter for someone to serve me, whilst watching them further down the line having a chat, which ultimately led to me not even bothering waiting for things. This supermarket has gone downhill so fast I'm surprised the management don't have whiplash! The few staff members I speak to are doing their best, but...
Went to the cafe today. The food was tasty but me and my partner have felt ill ever since eating it.ps. We haven’t eaten anything all day and we know it was this.
The push towards 100% self service checkouts seems to be inevitable but surely for big trolleys they are impractical. With only one manned checkout available, obviously with a queue, I tried to self scan, with regret. It takes forever. Come on Morrisons try to put more people on tills whilst you have them or make the machines better, currently we have neither.
I come into this Morrisons all the time spending £50-£100, I am 5 months pregnant and constantly harassed/followed by this security guard. He even waits outside of the checkouts until I leave then follows me out. Being a security guard myself for over 5 years, this is a horrible way to act. I don’t come in covered up, I don’t come in with a hood up, it’s just my purse and shopping list. There was even a point that I went outside after shopping to sit on the stairs as I was tired due to pregnancy and he stood outside the door while I had a water.
Sells food at reasonable prices. Food in the cafe Is very good for the price - just don't expect fillet mignon or fresh lobster, it isn't that kind of place.
