We came here for Lunch with my children. Order two cheese burgers with chips and two children meals. The children meals arrived on really hot plates. Too hot to touch, then the adult meals plates were freezing. The food was also all cold aswell. The chips weren’t even like warm. The menu stated brioche buns and these were not. When cutting the burger in half we found the burger was raw inside still. We complained about this, and asked for a refund. When we was waiting for a refund we could here two staff members gossiping going “I saw the burger it wasn’t even that bad, like it was a little pink but nothing to complain about there kicking off a fuss over nothing”. We was stood right there. We only got refunded for one meal. I would avoid this place if you are looking for cold and raw food.
We decided to call and have breakfast here as was opening at 8am and we had a long journey that day 4 adults&3 kids . We did arrive a few minutes early but there were to gentlemen already waiting to. We did get some juices from the fridge and after 5 mins of waiting one of the staff said breakfast will be 10 minutes late. Not a problem we thought we get a drink and sit down. No we was left wondering why they were just ignoring not only us but the other 3 gentlemen and also a gentleman behind us. At 8.20 they then realised the till wasn't working we only knew that from the staff talking to each other about it. We all looked at each other put the drinks back and all walked out everyone one of the people stood in the que left. Shocking service a little acknowledgement would've been nice.
There are not enough staff to cope. The food is a long time coming out and you are lucky if they have all that you order. The last few times I've been the floors have been dirty and sometimes the cutlery pots are empty. The staff are friendly though. Last week it seemed like they were giving out more refunds than they actually took.
Today, I went for lunch at Morrison's Cafe. There were 2 of us and we were placed in table 19 a tiny round table normally used for when two people just have coffee. As it was obvious that what we ordered would not fit this table we ordered 2 larges drinks, 2 all-day brunches, 2 x2 toast, 8 onion rings and one portion of cake. I asked one member of staff if we could change table to a bigger one, but the lady replied: No!, you stay where we placed you! So we did, we waited patiently for our food to be served. Our drinks were from the drink machine, we had a coke and a fanta, but it was more like squash, 3/4 water, barely fizzy. Even a Morrison saver cola would have tasted better. We passed the order at 13:43 and after 1-hour of waiting, I decided to go and ask what was happening with our order, just to be told, viciously, with no apologies : "Well what do you want me to do about it", by a very rude lady who does the till. I went back to sit in my table and after 5 minutes of our asking, our food arrived, served by the lady from the till. She gave my Son and I 'a dirty look'. It was now obvious that what she had to put on our table wouldn't fit, we told them this would happen previously, but they said we weren't allowed to move. So I asked again, could we move to another table, she looked at me angrily and was obliged to move us to a larger table, It seemed to me that at this point she was now, she did not like us and treated us with no respect. She nastily put our plates on the table and asked DO YOU WANT ANY SAUCES?!!! in an aggressive tone. She threw the salt and pepper onto the table and left. Even the customer on the table next to us was shocked. We were appalled. The presentation of the food on our plates was atrocious, the toast was pushed on the eggs, so much that when my son lifted his, burnt and cold, toast, the egg yolk was stuck onto the bread. We decided to leave your restaurant without finishing our meals and we were not the only ones, the customer next to us had left 3/4 of his burger too. We are very, very disappointed and we will not be coming back any time soon.
Popped in for a mid day meal on a Saturday. Was not too busy. Ordered 2 meals from the menu with hot drinks. Meals came out, one Salmon with Hollandaise Sauce, did not have any sauce and no potatoes. Advised staff who were apologetic and issued a refund. Not sure why they did not advise us at the time of ordering that they didn't have some items of the dish. Second meal a burger was OK for the money but not that tasty. Was not expecting much but fell short on even the basics. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Avoid this place like the plague. The Staff are rude, they can't get the simplest or orders correct and the service is so slow, honestly the worst Morrisons cafe I have ever been in. 40 minutes to serve a breakfast from a hot plate. honestly just go to one of the many cafes in bude, you get freshly cooked food and service with a smile, ok its slightly more expensive but its well worth it because the staff in this place are appauling
I don't know about their opening hours are, but it's a Bude cafe Bude cafes tend to think that people don't eat after four. I was a chef in a restaurant, and we used to stay open till eleven at night. But give this one a go I've heard good things about it.
Great cafe, meals 4 2 kids/2 adults £10! Cheapest place to eat in Bude! On the rainy day couldn't get in! Over an hour wait for food. But the other two times there, super!
Breakfast was amazing, well priced. New system in place for CoViD which works well. We visit the area regularly so definitely will be back.
Cheap but not cheerful! Heaving today. served at 11.50 and waited 50 mins for food 2x breakfasts . beverage machine overfills cups. service was polite just understaffed on a bank holiday!
