This was always my chosen place to park whenever I visited Rhyl. It's a large car park in as convenient a location as you can get in Rhyl town centre and because it's well hidden from view there are always plenty of free spaces. Even when the airshow is on and the town is chockablock with cars there are spaces to found here. Best of all was that it only used to cost £1 for four hours. I don't usually pay to park if I can avoid doing so but I felt that £1 was acceptable and I've never had the need or inclination to spend more than four hours in Rhyl. Sadly the prices have recently increased. You now only get one hour for £1 or three hours for £2. Admittedly this isn't as bad as the rip off parking charges levied in neighbouring Conwy County but in future I may have to look for free on street parking rather than fund Denbighshire council.
