Brilliant local place to eat got a good selection on menu hot choc to die for great for a stop off with family or couplesFood: 5/5
A very busy coffee shop and garden centre located just off the A595. A well stocked garden centre. Prices are reasonable and the plants are good quality. Will definitely call in when it's planting season. Highly recommended.
A large cafe seperate from the garden centre with a fair selection on the menu, coffee tea and snacks, as well as some small meals, order at the counter served to the table, prices about middle of the road, quality good, outside seating available in good weather. Garden section has a good selection of plants that seen to be good quality and competitive prices
Lovely food. Not cheap but it's so niceFood: 5/5
Couldn't rate the food this time as walked inside to order at 14.57 only to be told they stopped serving food at 3pm....I assume that's to make sure they are empty by the time they close at 4pm. It wasn't yet 3pm.... We were all only planning on soup and sandwiches but in this day and age if you are happy to turn away a group of people willing to pay high prices for easily prepared goods don't be surprised when people don't return.
The food is tasty and well presented. Coffee is rich and full of flavour. Staff are pleasant and efficient. Down side is the over powering odour of hot cooking fat, since they introduced chips. Sorry to say it hits you as you enter and lingers on your clothes after you leave. Not very pleasant.
Good parking present. Plenty of plants available and at reasonably competitive prices. Reminder of the late 70's and the 80's was the availability of Umbrella plants. Maybe they are becoming popular once more.
I absolutely love this coffee shop, have been coming here for years meeting a friend for lunch. Checked online on Saturday 30th September to see if it was open as I had agreed to met some friends there it said it was. Got there after a bit of a journey to find only the garden centre open. The coffeeshop was all sealed shut. Such a shame as I'm not local to have driven so far and meet my friends there to then have to drive away to look for somewhere else to go.
The staff always friendly and very helpful. Parking: Always plenty of room for disabled parking.
Afternoon tea on Sunday-Best we have had anywhere and we have had a lot! Lovely homemade cakes very fresh sandwiches and very pleasant staff. Only downside the latest they serve is 3pm and they close at 4 so it felt rather rushed could have done with another hour just to relax on some easy seating. Will definitely be back though but will book for 2pm next time.
