"Moorways Sports Village and Water Park combines a brand-new water park and leisure centre with the existing Moorways Stadium to create a fantastic new sports and leisure facility for the whole community. The new water park and leisure centre boasts an enormous 50m swimming pool, which can be split into three 25m pools, offering swimming lessons to all ages plus lane swimming, family swimming and inflatable sessions. The leisure pool has three flumes and slides, as well as a Wow Ball to create waves. There are also two soft play facilities, a state-of-the-art gym, group fitness studios, a teaching pool, as well as a sauna and steam room. The stadium complex comprises of an athletics track, as well as grass and artificial football pitches."

I highly recommend swimming classes with Catherine! The best teacher ever. She focuses on each student, explains things very well and motivates through sharing her own passion for swimming. I started learning the skills practically from scratch, after about 20 months I'm able to swim independently using a range of styles. Having free access to public swimming sessions made a significant difference to my progress. It's not an easy skill to master as an adult but definitely possible! Why not give it a try!
We have used the swimming facilities a couple of times. The facilities are great, lots of options. I personally find the online booking system quite hard to use. I found a lot of staff to be quite abrupt and unhelpful, there is an assumption that anyone entering know where to go and what to do. The fun pool is great when quiet, when it starts getting busy it can be too much for younger ones. The main pool is great, the adjustable floor allows for a variety of uses. Unfortunately when we used it the water was very cold. My child was quite distressed and shaking and had purple lips. We warmed up a bit when we got moving. There was also a water workout on at the same time which had very loud music and man on a microphone and then they started music for the fun pool session, this was a bit too much for someone who is sensitive to noise. Overall good facilities, however staff need a little customer service training.
Great facilities, decent price too. Staff are generally lovely, although more than once, I've heard cafe staff talking behind eachothers back. Particularly one lady talking about leaving the job for a cafe somewhere else being rather rude about it and using pretty foul language. Hence loosing a star. But, as a facility, it's excellent, clean, and the kids love going.
Excellent sports/swimming venue. One down side becareful what you book in for. I went with the grandchildren they took full advantage of the slides and inflatable assault course and I thought fine I can watch and have a good swim however after being chucked out of two pools because my ticket didn't cover it I end up in the wave pool just swimming in circles to get exercise, probably my fault but it wasn't obvious to me what facilities I could use.
Can't really fault the swimming pool and indoor water park. It's fantastic for the community and reasonably priced. The only thing I'd warn people of is the party packages they offer both the pool parties and the soft play parties. They group together a lot of parties at the same time and the staff are run ragged trying to get party groups checked in and party rooms ready. Everything runs at least 30 minutes late.
We had a fantastic fun yesterday! Kids love it! The tunnel slide was something to look forward too! The place looks fantastic… the staffs are very helpful especially Sally…. Changing rooms is huge just bring a pound for the refundable locker! Their. Pre-opening was a huge success!
Love this place. The staff are always so lovely especially Nikki and Claire in the cafe. They are so friendly and brilliant with the children I bring with me. I’m absolutely gutted as I’ve just found out Nikki is leaving. You’re losing an amazing member of staff. She will be sadly missed.
Great pool, very clean, health suite does get overcrowded sometimes with people who do not book, this needs addressing by the management as not fair on those who pay. Love the cafe after our swim great staff just heard nikki has left which is a shame as she was an asset we shall miss her.
We visited here for the first time for a kids birthday party in the soft play. The soft play was plenty big enough for babies up to childrens ages. Whilst there we had a walk around the complex and it's next level advanced. The pools look incredible with an adjustable pool floor so they're able to change the depth. They have inflatable obstacle courses in the pool on selected dates and they also have a wave pool & splash pad. The gym looks like it has state of the art equipment and class rooms, and it was quiet when we visited at lunch time on a Saturday. There's a cafe on site which is reasonably priced with a good range of hot and cold food & drink. When visiting the complex ensure you enter your reg number on the keypad in reception if using the car park. This will give you 3 free hours.
I had a fantastic time at Mooreways Village Sports and Club! The swimming facilities were excellent – clean, well-maintained, and perfect for both serious swimmers and those looking to relax. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everyone felt welcome and had a great experience. I also appreciated the variety of activities and the vibrant, community-oriented atmosphere. I highly recommend Mooreways Village Sports and Club for anyone looking for a great place to swim and enjoy some leisure time!
