Lovely pub with great views. Very helpful staff answering questions and sorting things out for me. Think her name is Rebecca. Have been here many times and always enjoyed my time here. Staff are lovely. Great views of the passing barges on the canal. Good food and drinks. Definitely recommend and will be returning.
Quiet chilled relaxing, no bother. Food was scrumptious. Chicken and mushroom pie yum. Lamb shank melted in my mouth. Plenty of outdoor seating with an amazing view of the canal. Great after lunch walking routes. Dog friendly.
Had a stopover for the night on our boat on the way to Pennington flash with our cruising club of 12. Lots of outdoor seating overlooking the canal. We had a lovely evening meal rump steak which was cooked to perfection friendly, helpful staff, who went above and beyond when our boat had problems. We stayed another night and the staff were so helpful. Thank you The Moorings. Hope to visit again soon. Shelly and Colin.
Mixed grill was nice. The Sausage was over cooked and re heated I believe. Seafood duo. Prawns where really bland. No seasoning new potatoes where microwaved to death. Salad was past its best. Beautiful scenery just a little more attention to details and it could be a give star place
That was the best pub food that I ever had. I was there yesterday with my walking group came for a nice dinner and the staff were fantastic and amazing and I had a Lasagna and that was amazing dinner. Well done to the staff
Food was lovely, busy on a Sunday afternoon which is always a good sign. Although we did hear them say they ran out of Sunday Dinners and it wasn't even tea time. Great service, staff and atmosphere. Lovely views, great spot perfect in summer and a great size car park. Dog friendly and disabled amenities.
Lovely pub by canal with great atmosphere. Friendly and professional staff. Very busy day as two parties in today but told upfront would be a wait and came quicker than they said. Dog friendly including inside. Will definitely come again as food delicious
We book a table for our mini Christmas party meal as a great way to end the perfect year with our glam squad christmas party. And we were very pleased with our decision. It was a fantastic night, and everyone had a good laugh. It was our first visit to the Moorings, and it was a lovely place. The food is amazing and very tasty, and they serve a large portion for less than ten pounds. The variety of their menu and the high quality of the food delivered to tables around us made it difficult to choose. I'm happy to say that it was a "melt-in-your-mouth delicious", served with some of the best katsu chicken I've ever had. Everything was prepared to order and served hot. Delivered with a smile by the amazing on-duty staff Ms Alex and Ms Shauna, your service was excellent, and the staff was pleasant. We also noticed that the service at the bar and at our table was very friendly, polite, and professional. The pub is hidden in the dark at 7 p.m., with few lights around, but we did discover a treasure trove of delicious food! Definitely recommended! Five star Thank you for our delicious meal! Moorings
Food very nice with varied menu, can highly recommend the pies good selection of beers as well. Staff all very pleasant and helpful, and we didn't have to wait long for our food,and all very reasonably priced. Will be going again soon.
I used to come in The Moorings 20+ years ago, and to be honest it hasn't really changed. It still has a good food menu, plus alot of beers to choose from and big screens for sports. Still great.
