Monty's

Went in here today with my mum and sister after a lovely day shopping, staff friend, lovely decor, we got two coffees and a small pot of tea to go with our toasties, this is what we got inside our toasties, the measly amount of chicken and two wafer thin slices of tomato…. I took them back to ask girl who made them did she think they were acceptable to hand anyone, I wasn’t looking for my money back of even other ones to replace them , she seemed to think they were fine…. She said that’s how she always made them… When we arrived there was a lot of left over food on plates I can only assume there food wasn’t up to standard either I certainly won’t be back… oh and it cost £25 !!!!!!

Delicious breakfast, great service from the 2 young ladies, nothing to much trouble, totally recommend!

Absolutely lovely place to eat, food is always amazing and the staff are very friendly. I sometimes go in for lunch during my work break and it is never a let down. I always look forward to going. Kid-friendliness: I can't say much as I haven't taken a child myself but it seems to be equipped to deal with children. Parking: Parking can be quite difficult as its a small public street but there is a large Carpark about 100m away from the shop entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: Groundfloor with a carpark close by.

Cycled up from lisburn on way around north antrim coast. Went to montys as first cafe I saw in ballymoney. Great decision. Staff very helpful, ice in my 2 water bottles without asking, super value scrambled eggs and coffee, amazing value. I got back on that bike with a big smile

If you want a big breakfast fry go for the full Monty. The food was good and very reasonable priced l, give it a try if your in the town Parking: Parking nearby.

We were very disappointed today when we went to Montys for Lunch. The restaurant itself was about half full and everyone had been served. When we sat down the waitress came to us and said they were too busy to serve us hot food! I asked was there nothing hot we could have but we were refused. It was only half 12 and I appreciate there were phone orders but never in my life have I been turned away from a half full restaurant at such an early time. I would not recommend visiting here! In response to your reply. Your answer to me shows the way you treat your customers. My 1 star is not petty, I was unable to give more than 1 star because we were turned away.. the premises are lovely and we were looking forward to eating there. The review does not harm your business, turning customers away does and being rude. I don't have a bad attitude I simply stated what happened. I was understanding that you had phone orders but we were told you couldn't even serve us in half an hours time. How is this good for business? Perhaps a sign on the door would have been better, to say you weren't serving, rather than waiting until customers are seated.

A fantastic restaurant. Was out with a large party tonight and pre-ordered our food. Was on the table within five minutes of arriving. Had a steak cooked to perfection. Would recommend it to anyone.

This is a little hidden gem, we stumbled across it last week and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and portions huge - brought a doggie bag home. Staff were friendly and helpful, will definately visit when I'm back in Ballymoney again
