Terrible. card error message kept spewing out on screen when trying to use either machine, yet bank card worked 5 mins prior when using in a shop.... tried using app....app error message..unable to load tarrifs at this time Arrived at 5.40pm. charged 70p from 5.40 to 6pm, then wanted 4.00 something for flat rate from 6pm to 6am
Not too expensive car park but it is small. There are two pay machines but when we were here a year ago the one on the left didn't work and a year later it still doesn't. Was taking cash at least this time, last time we were here it only took cards so with people having to enter their registration numbers and then card numbers the queue was huge, almost took as long to pay as it did to shop!
This car park is in a useful position just off Worthing town centre. But the pay on exit machines are often broken and you can queue for 30 minutes just to pay if you can get it to work at all. You can if you look hard at sign by the machines find a website to pay online, which is hard to use and you need to know when you arrived and how long you stayed in order to pay.
WARNING: If you must park here keep your reciept safe for at least two months. Ideally video the payment transaction on your phone when you come to pay. I parked here in January and about 5 weeks later got a £90 PCN. Fortunately I paid by debit card so could prove I had paid. However they claimed they had no record of me entering my registration number. When you pay the machine asks you to enter your reg and shows you a photo of your car arriving as confirmation. My car is red and very hard to mistake so very unlikely I entered the wrong registration. I also recommend entering your full registration not just the first few digits which it asks for. To make matters worse the PCN claimed to be the second they had sent me. The first apparently offered a discount if I paid promptly but I never received that. Edit: I have been told the payment system has changed since I posted my review but I've not been back to check.
£60 fine- paid £3.60 on line- but miscalculated my times by 20 minutes. Appealed and lost . Then one machine working and a queue of 5 people. Today- went over the 4 hours, one machine working and 6 people in the queue! £10. Street parking is cheaper and easier in Worthing! Use the one by the cinema
I use this car park all the time when visiting the town centre. It gets busy quickly. It has now changed back to pay and display charges.
Quite expensive car park. Is not worth it. Everyone I parked there the pay machine was out of order and you have to go online to pay it. This is not acceptable, I can say that it happened with me like 4-5 times. You Don't know the time when you entered the car park and online you will pay at least 1 hour extra due to this.
Great parking location, however be warned of the payment process. It's slow, cumbersome and often unreliable. If you have to park here make sure you get a receipt and keep it. I've had a Charge Notice issued even though I'm positive of going through the payment process.
It's ok except the miniment time to park for a disabled person sometimes 3hrs isn't long enough for what I have to do.
Relatively safe car park with reasonable costs, it's an ANPR car park so you don't need a ticket, but the machines are on the ground floor, so you need to remember your reg....
