I used to use this establishment for times of study. They have now taken away all study desks. The librarian responded rudely to my polite questions regarding the lack of desks. The librarians also insist on playing the radio loudly all day so that the whole place is filled with the infuriating noise. Impossible to study without becoming angry. I come to the library to concentrate but this is absolutely impossible here now!
Will never set foot in this rubbish place again if i can help it. Bigoted, dishonest, aggressive, sexist staff, making false accusations and ignoring their own rules, which say that libraries should be quiet places. Now it's noisy kids all day, openly encouraged by staff. Senior MCC management ie Paul Matthews, Matt Phillips, Matthew Gatehouse, Annette Evans and Ioan Gealy making it clear that they care nothing about human rights, disability, presumption of innocence, a fair hearing etc. Instead they just tell a pack of lies to protect this new and illegal policy of noisy populism. The ordinary citizen who tries to challenge this bureaucratic arrogance through the civil court now faces a bill of almost £1000 before anything gets started. WE DO NOT LIVE IN A DEMOCRACY ANY MORE. Filth.
Great space with very helpful staff.
First time back to the library since the beginning of covid19 and it felt good. One way system everything very secure and staff helpful. Well done.
