Had a lovely meal here. Standard Brewers Fayre quality and service. Most of our party ordered the carvery which was fresh and regularly topped up. Friendly staff. Remember to submit number plate on arrival to use free car parking on site. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: Child and non-child seating areas. Both indoor and outdoor play areas. Parking: Plenty of parking. Remember to submit number plate on entry. Wheelchair accessibility: All on one floor.
Great venue food is lovely service is outstanding well recommended to anyone. Family Bar/Restaurant. Based on the outskirts of the sleepy village of Monkton, our Brewers Fayre has been a favourite of locals and tourists alike for many years. Parking: Plenty of free parking. Large parking lot.
This was the nearly £12 double burger. Portion was poor one of the burger was missing, and when I raised this with the staff they told me they were running out and only put one burger on, but we happy to charge me for two! Chips were stone cold. Ending taking it back for a refund. Staff did not enforce the no smoking/vaping policy in the small outdoor kids area, despite there been a large space at the front where the smokers could toot all day. Really disappointing, I had been to the same place a few week before and it was OK. Probably will not try it again now.
Nice meals here. Lovely and hot and service was great
If you follow me or check my reviews you'll know I'm all about Gluten-free and I wasn't disappointed full breakfast minus black pudding, of course, Vegetarian sausages/links available, they were edible. But the rest was on point I had the works fried eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, bacon, tomatoes, toast, scrambled egg, veg links, and refillable coffee, Fantastically enjoyable. Vegetarian options: Loads on offer but never tried any. Kid-friendliness: Soft play in back and a have breakfast with santander dsy was today Parking: When we visited there were a good few spaces available. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, restaurant is situated on ground level. Dietary restrictions: They have a folder with calories counted for every item.
Lovely buffet all you can eat breakfast. When we went it was 2 kids eat free for every paying adult. 5 of us 2 adults and 3 kids had an all you can eat cooked or continental breakfast including unlimited juice, tea or coffee for £19. Thats £3.80 each. Cant complain at that
Tired restaurant in need of some care and investment. Understaffed for late on a Saturday afternoon with long wait at bar. Staff friendly and helpful. Quality of food poor. Overcooked and not as described on menu with items missing from plate. Example chicken dinner served without carrots or stuffing, no savoy cabbage and gravy supplied in a plastic cup not a jug as described. Overall a poor dining experience and unlikely to return
Avoid! This is, I believe, my first-ever two-star review and has been raised one level up from my original intended score because of the efforts of the staff and the cooks to rise above the organisational chaos. The pub ran out of standard gin too many bottles of flavoured gin however, then missed a burger off the order. Thursday 15SEP2022, arriving around 1800hrs. When it arrived my burger around 15 minutes after my companions had been correctly served it was at least well-cooked and presented. But... On arrival, we were greeted by the old "our card machine isn't working" ploy. This usually means that the establishment is about to go bust, so the staff want to be sure that they will be paid. Not unreasonable in my view. Three other couples sat at their tables on our area of the establishment, similarly unaware that "you have to go to the bar to place your order". Shambles. Not enough staff: headless chickens and thank heavens for the Wild Bean Cafe in the BP garage next door. We shall NOT be back. Parking: Located around the back of the BP garage. You must steer hard left, otgerwise you will miss the hotel car oark and find yourself in the HGV fuel pumps.
We popped in for our tea and ordered. We sat and waited for nearly 40 minutes and no food arrived my wife asked how long it would be. We were told that it had been missed and they are cooking and should be out in 10 minutes after 20 minutes waiting still nothing. Our server apologised once again and offered us a full refund for this mistake and our food arrived shortly afterwards. The manager Chris was great came over and spoke to us to apologise refund us and even offered us desert’s for free. Even after the wait the food was lovely and great customer service. We would call back if we are ever in the area again.
Booked "Breakfast with Santa" for our 2-year old granddaughter, 89 year old great-granny party of 6 at 9.30am. Was a serve yourself buffet. Not very accessible for wheelchair as it was set out for a large number of guests. Food was not particularly hot, had a good selection but was not replenished very promptly. Seemed to be a lack of staff for the number of people attending and was very disorganised. Santa arrived at 10.30am but our granddaughter didnt get to see him till 11.40am so was a long wait. Hadn't been here for around 20 years and would not rush back although at £9.50 per adult for cooked breakfast and £9.99 for each child including small gift - it was not particularly expensive.
