I have just been on the phone to an advisor and as much as he was polite he may as well have been a robot. I kindly waited for him to finish to ask to speak to the recovery team to which he did not put me through to. He came back on the line saying the exact statement he had said initially. I asked again if I could speak to them and again he put me on hold only then to cut me off with "is there anything else I can help you with? What nonsense. I will not be using this service again, as I categorically stated that I did not want to be put through this unnecessary anxiety and yet here I am, totally exasperated and upset!!!
Was amazed by how quickly they paid the garage, absolutely brilliant, I choose my dream car and paper work was send to be signed the same day, and once I return them the car was paid for within 3 hours, would definitely recommend to friends & family

I had first requested a statement of my payments in February 2024 as I didn't feel that my loan balance was decreasing as it should. I had no contact so I requested again and logged a complaint on March 25th and still had no response. I was then sent an apology email a few weeks later and told it was sent to their accounts department and again, no statement was sent. I logged a SARS on the 9th of April and it's since been 42 days and still no documents sent to me? It was my understanding that they had to send this information within 30 days. I have also been sent a copy of someone else's statement of payment which is a data breach and nothing has been done about this nor have I had any communication either. Today they sent me what they claimed to be my statement of payment for my vehicle but they sent a corrupted file and when I asked them to send it in a different format I was sent a blank email. It has been nothing but a headache from the very start as they had sold me a vehicle with a faulty timing chain, 5 months into my agreement I had to pay 1600 to get this repaired, momeybarn have been no help. I have logged a complaint with the ICO and FOS. Please avoid this company
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I got a financed vehicle through them Moneybarn was the lender at the end of February, immediately experienced engine issues, i sent the car back down to the dealership to get fixed and they sent it back claiming to have fixed it but the fault remained and actually left me without a car for weeks, all the meantime they kept charging me for the car telling me I could claim all of my money back. CarFinance247 was absolutely horrific in the way they handled the situation. It took weeks and weeks of me pestering them for them to even ring the dealership for me, they spoke to me disrespectfully, hung up the phone, had me on hold for 2hours at a time, rang me a specific times I told them not too I work night shift. It's now nearly mid May I am still waiting on a refund, all in all I gave them and money barn £500-£600 and I am only getting £200 back in total. Which they are still yet to send. Please if you are considering finance DO NOT go with these people they are crooks and the dealers they work with are too! They are super friendly and helpful until you sign the contract for the vehicle then they couldn't care less about you, they will say anything to get you to sign a contract. They rush the process and do not do proper financial checks either. Its an absolute disgrace of a company. I will be posting this review on moneybarn also as they are just as bad!
My issue is a claimed missed payment, July last year. We have called and called them, spoken to most of the call centre staff none have a clue. Asked them to check and check again, our bank statements show payment made through bank. Sent statements to them via email alleged not received, unwilling to help in anyway. When these calls end they always ask for payment, why would I pay twice. The worst is its on my credit report 9 months of being in arrears, my credit file is dropped drastically because of this. Now sending complaint by mail as we carnt sort on phone or email.initially refused to give us mailing address, then when given it it takes over 14 days to receive and process. I get phone calls, emails, text messages almost daily, why don't these people listen, promised call backs never happen, last straw posting bank statements today recorded delivery. I will NEVER agree to use this company again, I canot even get a new sofa because of my bad credit score because of this company.
STAY AWAY from them! 1st: They have high APRs. But that's not the only issue. 2nd: Due to my pay dates having changed, I have changed my direct debit date from the 1st of April to the 9th of April on their website. Because I changed the direct debit date they want to charge me an extra month worth of instalment which is £240. So they want me to pay for two months of finance in one month which equals to £480. I was not warned anywhere that changing the direct debit date would cause such fees. It's absolutely absurd for them to ask for 2 months worth of payment in one month. I called them, I even spoke to a manager supposedly and they would not want to let this go, they are saying they understand it's confusing etc. but nothing justifies asking for an extra month worth of charge just because I changed my direct debit date 7 days later. I was paying every single month on time and this is how they treat their customers. Disgusting money grabbing company. 3rd: When you call them, good luck getting your point across. Every single time I spoke to someone, I faced very strong accents and the call handlers didn't quite understand what I am saying. Now this is not against foreign workers, this is a heavy criticism against moneybarn that they don't employ the right people for the right job or not providing staff with speech, etc. training. They also tend to just transfer you to the next person multiple times because they just don't know how to help you. Honesty, just avoid this service. They have already got official financial misconduct cases on their files and mine will surely be the next. Also Moneybarn, don't even reply to me here with a fake apology and how much you emphasise with me, don't bother. Do that the the financial ombudsman later on when they come to investigate.
