We are a full time martial arts gym run by multiple black belt and current world champion Matt Stait 4th dan. We offer a free weeks trial in any class.

Story

Based in Bulwark, Chepstow we are a full time, fully equipped martial arts gym offering a wide range of classes and styles to suit anyone with an interest in the martial arts or self defence.Childrens classes start from 4 years and above.Seniors are 14 and above.We offer open public classes,private tuition,personal training,special interest groups,charity and corporate training and security training.

At the age of 63 Matt took me on and patiently taught me basics of his absolutely second to none modern street system. Having boxed, done judo and tried KM. This is the the best for those who need some solid no nonsense training. Really satisfying to learn too from a teacher who has had to use his system for real in a professional capacity. Nearly a whole year well spent.  Thanks Matt !!

Having trained in many disciplines over the last 25 years I would have to say that this is the best tuition I have received. 
I say this because I am biased towards self protection and realistic conflict and this is what Modern Samurai Martial arts excels in. 
For those more interested in the competition/sport there is top notch kickboxing training on offer plus other competition based systems.
For those who want to learn how to defend themselves effectively I couldn't recommend a better place.

The owner Matt Stait is a Multi-Dan, multi-discipline experienced instructor with decades of Martial Arts behind him. I started back with Kickboxing after a long break and I was pleased that Matt taught old school "real" Martial Arts and not the new "give me money I give you black belt" way that is sadly all too common. My son also trains with Matt and is coming on great. Highly recommended.

Best martial art school i have been to good variety of martial arts great instructor and an amazing martial art school would recommend it to anyone who is interested in martial arts.
