This place is perfect if you want a treat on the healthier side, and their labeling is really clear if you have dietary restrictions. Their gluten free options are particularly amazing. I’ve mostly had their pastries but their selection shopping items are well chosen. Overall, this is one of my new favorite places in Oxford! I particularly recommend the banana bread, granola, and biscuits.
Amazing healthy cafe, great gluten free options all handmade. Dog friendly inside! Very friendly staff. Great shop with healthy purchases! Their cook book is a must!
Small but individual artisan bakery - granola pot was great
Unfortunately the breads are made with non-natural salt. All sorts of health issues like hypertension and thyroid issues come from artificial salt. The water they use is also not specified to be filtered or purified which is crucial in an age of mass water contamination. Really is a shame because their breads taste VERY good and as if of high quality, the traditional fermentation is exactly what we need for our bread! Unfortunately just not rounded all the corners. Do hope they change this soon!
Whenever I have been in here, the products have struck me as being peculiar and unappealing, and few in number and variety, with too much focus on being 'free from'. Staff have on different occasions either greeted me as soon as I entered, or eyed me all the way to the counter where I was the one who had to initiate any interaction. I once ordered a coffee here and I was amazed at how small it was! The meagre quantity was not reflected by the price either, by the way. I understand it was some fancy organic coffee, but in my view this did not justify the price.
Whilst this is definitely not cheap, you do get what you pay for... Predominantly organic ingredients and a range of raw/vegan/sourdough products that are unsurpassed. Staff were friendly and helpful, despite it being busy on a rainy Saturday. They are currently adjusting their range of sourdough biscuits to be all vegan and always have a range of raw/vegan sweet and savoury treats so check them out if you're hungry!
A really really incredible cafe/ shop and bakery with the most delicious healthy bread, healthy products and healthy food. Best matcha latte there is, incredible monmouth organic coffee, yummy healthy breakfast, lunches and smoothies, and amazing sourdough organic bread. I can't recommend this place enough! x
Good and unusual gluten-free cakes; the tumeric latte was ... interesting? Pretty tiny indoor space so not usually a place to linger long, but the staff are friendly and child-tolerant.
The bread looks great, the spelt croissants are tiny, undercooked last time but this time nice. Expensive, but that's fine for the quality. What's really problematic is the odd attitude of some of the staff, really pretentious and just oozing judgement...
Great bakery with super friendly staff and a fantastic selection of vreads, cakes and pastries. Thet go a bit overboard with things like the "life changing loaf" which is a bit much for a piece of bread. But overall their products are very high quality with great taste. Dont expect any bargain discounts though, no matter how you twisy or turn it; their products are expensive. Quality comes at a price though, and its def worth the money.
