One of my favourite bakeries of all time!!! Great staff, great variety of products and lovely sitting area with heatings from the top. I love the outside seating and it is so lovely with a lot of nature! I loved the ham and cheese croissant and sausage roll is absolutely incredible! So many great desert options as well and love that not always you will get the same pastries. Hot chocolate was lovely and having sitting in drinks in their lovely cups was lovely. I would love to see some point card systems or some student discounts or some lunch set to make some of the items affordable. Having some filter coffee options will be lovely as well. There were couple of various savoury items last time I have visited but today there was only a cheese scone and sausage roll. Having some more savoury items in the morning and some more vegan lunch items could be nice.
The coffee was okay but the ham and cheese croissant was bitter and cold and when asked to warm it up they said they don't reheat the food. So I wouldn't recommend eating anything that is supposed to be warm. Also, the salmon bagel had no cream cheese and, although it looked toasted, it was room temperature so the butter had a hard time melting.
Good selection of baked goods, nice coffee and friendly staff. As a bonus - there's a cute little garden at the back with heating lamps, perfect for sitting outside in autumn/winter.
Firstly, the food was nice. BUT the service was awful, couldn't answer a simple question, servers didn't understand my questions. Didn't know what a cold chocolate milk was if I'd wanted a hot chocolate, that's what I would have asked for. Didn't understand what dairy free meant, they have 1 vegan pastry option amongst 20+ choices. Wouldn't heat up a croissant. £7+ per person for a coffee and a pastry. Really not worth the money or effort. Go somewhere else.
Loved it. Nice littler back garden and also front seats. Had a cinnamon roll which was delicious. First time out again since September:-
Disappointing mocha. I love Gail's coffee, especially latte. However, I bought a mocha to go yesterday, and it was the worst mocha I've had in months. I could not taste coffee at all, and the taste was very sour, as if the milk had gone bad. It ended up in the bin:
Ive been going here before work every morning. As a speciality barista myself can safely say coffee is on point! Such a nice roast. And obviously the shots are kept an eye on. Customer service has been amazing too. This morning they were sold out of my go to breakfast options so a lovely blond short haired lady gave me the most generous serving of delicious sourdough toast as an alternative. Thank you!
A good selection of baked items. Loved the polenta cake and cinnnamon muffin. We tried the caprese filled roll which was also excellent - good if you want something filling and savoury. Good choice of cold and hot drinks. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Definitely recommend.
Location: I love the location and vibe of the place. It’s very laid back and always smells of amazing freshly baked pastries. Such a nice place to sit back and enjoy a nice book/conversation. Food: I had a salmon and cream cheese bagel + pistachio and berry jam cupcake. They were both amazing and very fresh. Everything looks really good and appetizing. Staff: The staff are really nice and very welcoming. Overall: Absolutely love this place, would definitely recommend to everyone!
They got a lovely outdoor garden on the back of the shop where you can sit and enjoy your meal. The staff was super friendly. I tried out their mini sandwiches and it was really nice especially the smoked salmon with avocado and poppyseed sourdough. I just loved salmon and poppyseed! Sorry didn't get to take pictures of smoked salmon sandwiches as I was way too hungry lol try it out yourself, you'll enjoy this lovely bakery shop.
