Never had a bad meal from here. Moved further away but still come back here, drive 5 miles to pick up, non of the takeaways near us now are anywhere near the quality of Ming Cottage. Highly recommended to anyone who's not tried them before. The restaurant, although a little dated, is clean and welcoming. Will be having one last takeaway from these guys before Xmas, the new years menu looks amazing aswel.
A family evening out. One hour delay in getting us to our table with no apology. Food delivered in dribs & drabs by inexperienced staff. The food did not reach average in quality and communication between kitchen and table led to more delays and some dishes been off the menu due to lack of ingredients.This information only filtered through after an hour& a half. Poor grubby decor, insufficient parking,shocking toilets so its no surprise I wont go again & suggest you give it a miss A large group was in another room which was given as the excuse but why were they more important than us ? We did manage to laugh but for the wrong reasons Last but not least for a long standing business ask yourself , why are there so few reviews, editing perhaps ?
The food was amazing and the staff treated us like we were part of their family. I would definitely come back here. Long time since I had a proper meal like this.
I can honestly say it’s the best Chinese food I’ve tried, it’s a family run business with an amazing atmosphere when the restaurant is busy. The food is fresh and of quality. I am looking forward to go back for Christmas and NYE
A good all round place been coming for years eating in better than take away but food. Always good Michael and Grace are very good hosts WHAT A SHAME THE BEST CHINESE TAKEAWAY AND RESTAURANT AS NOW FINALLY CLOSED ITS DOORS FOR GOOD ALL THE BEST GRACE and MICHAEL AND SIMON IN YOU RETIREMENT
The place where I first delighted in proper chinese food. I really loved my experiences here as a child and have been going there every special occasion for 15 years. Beautiful restaurant with a lovely staff.
Gorgeous food and friendly staff who go the extra mile to make your meal special. The place itself is a little run down but I would visit again.
Great Chinese food with truly fantastic seafood. Always looked after like Royalty. Can't recommend this place enough. Go treat yourself, you'll love it. Try the Lobster!
Been coming here over a decade, best Chinese food I've ever had! The staff has always treeted us like family and its just amazing!
The food is very average at best. The staff are very nice though. The carpark pond is a beauty.
