Staff were very friendly and kind. Was in and out in under 2hrs with my broken bone. Special thanks to reception & Samantha the paramedic for making accommodations for my sensory processing issues. This really helped make my experience a lot less overwhelming than it could have been.
The nurse need to education in emergency department. My husband got blood in the Knee old blood since January we are in the end of March. Called 111 urgently asked to go to emergency as he is feverish, shivering, cold sweats. Because of the old blood klin the knee for so long he could get aseptic this can result even in amputation of the limbs. ,,NURSE,, send us to walk in to see GP knowing and being triple asked if she is aware that they are unable to do blood test there. She replied 3 months is not long go there. This is unbelievable how they play with people's life. His is unable to walk properly knee is full of blood like a pocked of old blood. I'm not surprised they have such bad statistics and NHS is constantly responsible for deteriation of peoples health and even deaths unnecessarily where they should save the lives.nI k ow mostly when u in pain and not well reaction is different but we sat for 3 months waiting for orthopaedic appointment in July as was bearable but now is unbearable and we are not to waist Doctors or our time unnecessarily.nHope this one day will be checked where all this money millions are used not wasted for people seating just killing time instead rake thinks seriously and considering consequences.nIs sad to see no willingness or passion to help people.
Wanted to share my experience here yesterday, I had been unwell for the past 5 days and called 111 whom after only a few questions were quick to get my an ambulance. The Paramedic that came was called Alun I can not thank u enough mate u were brilliant with me got my pain under control right away and made me feel very comfortable with ur Bedside manner. Alun got me to a and e on his own and waited to hand me over. I was shocked as to see how busy it was there must have been at least over 100 people in there A&E departmentIncluding people being seen. With this in mind I knew I'd be in for a wait which is what it is. A few hours later I had a doctor I'ma afraid I can not remember her name but again she was amazing she listen to me and took the right course of action. With in minutes of seeing her I was given my treatment and a few hours of Observation with being checked on a few time along the way I was ready to go home. I generally thought to my self I would been admited the a and e department were amazing and I thank u all very much. U all do a very hard job and sometimes do not get the Appreciation you all deserve so again thanku from me.
Very bad service. Waited 3 hour 30 mins for nothing as doctors could not see a kid at 2am when there are only 3 patients waiting. Need to change the approach when you live on tax payers money. Should be more responsible and learn time management instead of wasting time. One more thing is that parking fee which should not be there when someone is waiting for so long. So in simple, they wants to earn money but don't want to serve people.
I dislocated my shoulder after having a fall and was in excruciating pain so went to A & E. After explaining what had happened and describing my level of pain to streaming nurse she couldn't have assisted me better. She brought me liquid morphine to take before being triaged. Very promptly after I was taken to X-ray and dislocation was confirmed. I was given gas and air while a nurse & doctor rotated my shoulder back into place. The relief was immediate. Every single person from the streaming nurse, reception staff, X-ray dept and nurses & doctor were beyond kind & caring. I cannot thank you all enough. But I'll try...thank you all.
