The Milleur House is a beautiful B&B. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are modern and the décor is lovely. The hosts, Moira and Drew, are warm, friendly, and helpful. Moira is a first-class quilter and her house is filled with beautiful examples of her well-crafted handiwork. She was so sweet that she sat me down and showed me how to make one of the quilt squares that I was admiring -- can't wait to try it. Drew is a master of Scotch whiskey and he gave us a lesson about it -- I don't drink so it went over my head, but the others in our group were rapt. Drew drove us to the restaurant but it's only about a mile walk and gave a us tour our way. The food was excellent and plentiful. We were on the John Muir Way 134 Walk Across Scotland and we were tired when we arrived. Moira showed us to our rooms and brought us little boxes of the best shortbread ever secret family recipe! As we were leaving for our last day of walking on the John Muir Way, she handed us a bag of the cookies. We were in heaven. It was a nice end to a fabulous stay.
Doug has been helpful, but letting us just go as we please - lovely! The house is very modern and well decorated, with everything one might need. The worst thing was finding the place at night, as the street is not very well lit.
