Stopped by to get Kiddo Oreo Sundae. It was good and just the perfect serving portion for me. Great idea to offer small size, although you will get more value if you buy the large size. Small cost 6.50 and large is 9.50. They only have a small store and everything is to go, you have to wait by the sidewalk for your order. The staff were very nice and cheerful.
I recently visited The Dairy Bar in Halifax and ordered an ice cream. The menu, written on a chalkboard, listed Small Sundaes at $6.50 and Large Sundaes at $9.50. Under the Large Sundaes, there was a special item called Salted Caramel Crunch. I asked if I could get the Salted Caramel Crunch as a small sundae, and the server said yes. I expected to pay $6.50, but I was charged the same price as the large sundae. When I inquired, I was told the price difference was due to taxes making them appear similar. I believe it would have been better if this information was provided upfront.
Hands down and I said it in Moncton, I will say it in Halifax, best soft serve ice cream ever! Probably the best soft serve ice cream I have had in my life actually and I am not a big fan of soft serve. Flavours are on point, texture makes such a big difference and each of these deluxe flavours were amazing. Blueberry early grey scones were far better but the corn flakes one was also good. These were two separate times and consistently they are very good. It is the spot to go for ice cream and it was amazing.
Unique ice cream flavors. The staff should definitely be giving out a warning when someone orders the chocolate mexican icecream...so hot it has you holding your throat! I was lucky enough to ask for a sample but others were really disappointed in purchasing. The flavor changes each week: it's a really cool ice cream shop worth checking out.
I have to say its the best soft ice cream in Halifax I have to come all the way from bedford every other week to get it so rich in taste . recommend
Okay, definitely worth the lineup. Apparently only open during the summer season but we ate the salted caramel crunch and the soft serve twist. I personally loved the caramel one more - perfect blend of sea salt and the crunch of corn flakes. So yum . So much better than the ice cream at the Harbourfront Cows. I only wish I could have tried more flavours before heading back home. Next time Halifax!!!
Great Ice Cream with Plenty of options and customizations availableEven Vegan options. There is usually a long lineup so be prepared to wait. Their sundae’s are quite filling so keep that in mind. My only nit pick is that they have a tip screen that ‘starts’ at 18% which I think is a bit high. I’m all in for supporting local stores and businesses but that percentage can be lowered in my opinion. Not any issue with the food. Can recommend it still with no concerns.
I love this place! Delicious soft server ice-cream and sundaes. I love how there are new features/flavors every week. I had the choco choco Chai sundae and it was amazing. The staff were also so friendly. Definitely the best ice-cream place in the Spring Garden area.
Went to get ice cream for my son. Much too expensive for soft serve, and the toppings were meh. The minimum tip was 18%, which is outrageous for something so basic, so his mom gave no tip. The woman yelled out to her co-worker "No tip!!" and they both cackled hysterically. Twenty seconds later my son was handed his underwhelming, $11 ice cream which he considered less tasty than general, fast food restaurant fare. Will never go back and will actively discourage others from going.
Literally the only soft serve ice cream i rave about, holy moly!!!! And the sweetest staff! I love getting a cone and then walking through the public gardens - best afternoon treat ever Highly, highly recommend.Food: 5/5
