The staff were nice but otherwise not keen. The ice cream was a bit cheap tasting and had a funny aftertaste. The bathrooms were serviceable but quite dirty. It was, however, definitely the kind of place you could see being magical from a kid's perspective - lots of bright colours, fun toppings and cones on offer, and booths and benches for clambering.
This was not my first time visiting Kendals, I have been visiting since I was a little girl and I will be four decades old next month! However, it is the first time I have left a review. Visited today with my parents for breakfast - they both had small ones, I had large been saving myself for it since I had tea at half 6 last night! It was absolutely scrumptious, piping hot, perfect egg - firm white with runny yolk. Plenty toast and the coffee was gorgeous. Excellent value for dad's money I was driving so dad footed the bill I can also say it was spotlessly clea today as always. I have enjoyed many delicious ice creams here in the past too, was tempted today but didn't leave room after my brekky. See you again soon :-
Friendly staff and lots of varieties of ice cream to choose from. Great place to take the kids. Clean & tidy facilities with eating inside or out.
Myself and my partner visited a couple of days ago this was her first time at Kendalls and the first time in a while for me. The staff couldn't have been more polite and helpful we had a wonderful time having a selection of things to eat from chips a chip butty with the chips being freshly cooked we all so tried a few different types of the many eye screams all over which were truly wonderful. Will definitely be calling again soon
What a pleasant, jovial guy. Presume he was the owner. Nothing too much trouble, pleasant, clean, welcoming created my ice cream experience. Delightful.
May not be an ideal location being directly roadside but don't let that put you off as it had me for years. Finally went and the ice cream was delicious. Super tasty, generous scoops and reasonably priced. We kept it simple with waffle cones but saw they had multiple cone types and toppings. Awesome.
Nice place to visit for Ice cream Plenty to choose from. Kids very small climbing frame, that's it, Indoor or outdoor, Reasonable clean, and I'm somewhat of an anorak about toilets available and clean. Considering the amount of kids that will visit in a day, the place was clean enough, certainly as clean, if not cleaner than McOribles in town centre. Cute ice-cream shop with nice and friendly staff. They have a variety of flavors and i really love that there’s an outer sitting area to chill. They also have play area for kids.
Grandchildren excited to be going for an ice cream, one knew right away what they wanted the other overwhelmed with flavours not so decisive. Young lady serving a little impatient waiting for a decision, didn't really say anything, no thank you when paid or enjoy your ice cream, no interaction really apart from asking if we wanted syrup or a topping, doesn't make you want to return for the unfriendly welcome. Little ones enjoyed their ice creams. Won't go out of our way to return.
Lovely place, plenty of parking and when not under lockdown plenty of seating inside & outside too. Well known for AMAZING ice cream there is also the cafe serving hot & cold food. This is open for take always during lockdown. A visit is very recommended
