I’m speechless! It’s worth a trip from Croydon for the piece of haddock I just consumed. I had the pleasure of meeting the legend Mick himself along with his glamorous assistant. They jointly deserve a PLAICE in the annals of gastronomic destinations in the UK in the world in general. Well done, Mick! Mmmmmm
Passing through from London and had to sample Grimsbys local cuisine, fish n chips. The owner, Tom Micks son, promised me it would be good and he definitely did not disappoint. The haddock and chips were amazing. So fresh, crisp, and tasty, and the curry sauce is so delish. Tom and the staff were also so helpful and friendly. If I'm ever passing through again, Micks Plaice will definitely be on my list of places to go.
Always fabulous fish and chips and the homemade fish cakes are lovely! Not greasy at all which is great!!Lovely crispy batter on the fish everytime...Friendly staff too.!!
First time here , excellent fish and chips , freshly cooked . We will be using Mick's Plaice regularly.
Homemade fishcakes are lovely and you can buy them to have at home frozen
