The surrounding areas of this landfill site are suffering from the toxic stench from this site, goodness knows what effect this is having on our health. It's absolutely disgusting and I don't think I should have to keep my windows closed in my own home because you can't control the smell. Irresponsible and unethical way to conduct business. Stop ignoring numerous complaints and warnings and do something about it!
Incompetent company. The smell from the Rushton tip is so bad that most days I can't open my windows and I can still taste the stench on the air. I live 4 miles from site but have often smelled it further away. It's overpowering and has been ongoing for years and is getting worse rather than improving. BBC news reports that the environment agency issued an order last year for improvements to be made under threat of losing their license to deal with waste. Things have gotten worse rather than better. This company should not be in business. It's incompetence negatively affects the population of three nearby towns, yet despite announcing a £30 million increase in profits last year, nothing improves.
Treat drivers like the dirt they carry in the back of the wagons, if you want to know what being behind bars are this is the place to work
The smell at Danesholme Junior school is so dreadful that sometimes the children don't want to go out at playtime as it makes them feel sick. Last summer term the stench was so overpowering that I couldn't open the classroom windows because it got in the way of teaching and the children said they'd rather be too hot than breathe the smell in.
Sort the stink out you bunch of incompetents. Also your drivers are constantly driving over the speed limit and are a total menace on the country roads and surrounding carriageways. Awful company who do nothing to address concerns and simply ignore complaints.
Mick George Ltd landfill site at Rushton is causing harm to thousands of people's living conditions due to the stench in the air over a prolonged period. Please try and find a more responsible waste contractor.
I would give no stars if allowed. I live just over a mile away from the site, it stinks, it's vile, it's ruining peoples lives. Your drivers think the road is a racetrack. For pitys sake, sort it or close it.
Well I live about 1 mile from this Landfill Site and I can honestly say it was a god send whole lockdown was on, now we are back to the stomach churning stench, today has had to be one of the worst days, can not even sit outside let alone open the windows, we seriously feel ill from this horrible, awful smell.
