Such spectacular views for the sea, sunset as well as nearby hills' scenery especially in good weather. We spent wonderful days here. Shower rooms and toilets are clean. Very close to Harlech beach and Castle. It's worth to visit the Beach. Only about 30 minutes drive to Barmouth. It's convenient for us. We will definitely come again.
Great location, very friendly proprietors, excellent facilities. Lashings of hot water, washing up liquid and even tea towels provided: soap and hand dryers at the sinks. Enjoyable walks down to Harlech and the coast: from here you can catch trains to Porthmadog, Portmeirion or beyond Birmingham anyone??
Gorgeous panoramic views overlooking Snowdonia national park and several bays.nLizzie was so friendly, helpful and considerate of where to pitch us as being so high up you're open to the elements. She came to my rescue with the washing machine read the instructions as it does tell you how to operate them. Remember to press the timer button and even though it was my fault it hadn't washed properly and thus not drying in the tumble dryer, she gave me my money back!nIt can be a bit of a queue for the showers in the evenings as there are only three but it's not too bad. We found around 4:30/5pm was a good time.nThe facilities are kept very clean and there's always enough toilet roll and handwash. Each toilet room has its own sink and mirror too.nLizzie and Bryn certainly work hard to maintain this gem of a campsite.nThe walk from the campsite down to Harlech is well marked with yellow arrows but it is quite overgrown in places so wear sensible clothing and shoes.nWe also walked to a small lake from the campsite, which was only 2 miles and quite nice going.nHarlech beach is worth a visit and so is Barmouth xx
Absolutely recommended - great communication when booking, friendly welcome on arrival, super pitches, plenty of space with unbelievable views, excellent facilities with large shower rooms & toilets plus lots of fridge space and a coin washer & dryer, picnic viewing platform for all to use - will definitely return! Did lots in 3 and a half days. From site walked into Harlech across fields/footpaths and back on roads beware footpaths overgrown in places so not an easy trek, Castle & cafe were great, as well as local deli. Took a trip over to Roman Steps/Rhonog hills east-ish of site for a run & wild swim - roads are single track but worth it. 20/30min drive over to Porthmadog with plenty of shops & large supermarket. Spent a couple of hours on the beach bottom of hill on the way home. Loved this area, wish we had more time as so much more here.
An amazing little gem of a campsite, hidden in the hills of Harlech. The owners are friendly and helpful and ensure the campsite isn't too packed in so there is plenty of room. Amazing views over the bay. There are communal fridges and freezers to store your items, washing up toilets and showers. The non electric pitches are quite a walk but meant I trebled my step count for the day!
