New owners. Seemed very nice. Chips were first class but the steak pie was very thick and difficult to get your teeth through. I trust that in a few weeks once they are fully installed things will improve
Feeding the YLT for generations. Worst chippy on earth, the place seems unclean and stinking of old oil, The food is terrible, I got a hamburger supper and it was tasteless. The chips were like frozen, asda extra value. Dreadful.

Called today ordered my food, fast forward 45 minutes later delivery arrived was all good and well, the food was disgusting, greazy horrible, could refill my deep fat fryer with the amount of grease that was dripping off it. So called back as they didn't give me my salad the man on the phone then gave me an excuse he wasnt in the mood,, didn't want to solve my problem then started swearing on the phone. AVOID AND WILL NEVER BE BACK, PLACE HAS WENT RIGHT DOWN HILL. CUSTOMER SERVICE NO CHANCE
Chips fresh and tasty Everything is cooked fresh. So expect a little wait. I prefer it fresh, rather than lying for an hour etc
Ordered takeaway from this place. After 2 hours i had still had no food and couldn't get through on the phone dedpite 26 calls. Eventually i drove there myself to find 2 staff behind the counter chatting. When i asked about our food they claimed they were very busy. Packed my food there and then and apologised but absolutely not good enough.

Not likely to use this chippy ever or recommend this chippy to others after my outside experience with a deliver driver. I was driving up the correct side of the road and delivery woman pulled infront of me head on then doubled parked which cause me to swirve. Rude woman with bad language and trying to run me over. Hope it was worth that when the police is involved. Had confrontation between us and the woman from the mermaid chip shop assistant.she only said to go away and back off. Chippy had no intention to listen to me and myself being a deliver driver understands the policies of how they should have addressed this. "by listening to both of our stories and getting just a simple apology would have been nice". I hope the chippy at least give her a verbal warning but very unlikely to happen. I am informing the police of the incident and taking further action unless it is addressed. I've never had any bad experiences like that when driving, ever. I was shaking afterwards and and feared for my 6 month old child.
