Bed was extremely uncomfortable, the springs were protruding. Very little room between the two single beds. Room 15. Rebecca was outstanding, helped with extra pillows and even took a photograph for me, Thanks Rebecca. The stairs are are everywhere, if you have any difficulty with mobility, ensure a downstairs room, or book elsewhere. The evening entertainment was superb, well worth watching, listening and, maybe, participating! Gregor with Historical Knowledge and swords was phenomenal. Laura, highland dancing, entrancing. The Piper wonderful. Quiz night was enjoyable too, surprisingly.
Couldn't fault the food, the service, the staff or the rooms. Artists and Carol singers were amazing. Nothing at all to find fault with. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Went on a bus trip with Edwards Coaches. Brilliant week away.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful rooms with either bath or shower and cleaned every morning. Tea making facility in the rooms plus telephone to reception. Excellent first evening meal we had. Really helpful to disabled people. Restaurant staff polite and very helpful. Rooms: Double or single rooms
Excellent service and very polite and friendly staff, couldn't do enough for my mother. The food was so good, fresh, tasty and plentiful it'd put some good restaurants to shame. The twin bedroom was large, clean and spacious and even the single was nearly as big as some double rooms.
Just been on a 3 night stay with grayway coaches, 10 of us. This hotel was amazing, great food, & service, the staff are so friendly & helpful, the entertainment excellent, we had a fabulous time & would definitely love to go back. Excellent value for moneyRooms: 4/5
A nice warm welcome, which was a lovely change from the cold reception we had from the balmaha lodges.. cosy fires, clean rooms, and friendly staff, we ordered food and wine, which took an age to arrive. But the waitress was lovely. The food was good when it eventually did come. We are newly weds so decided on an early night.. we didn't know that a ceilidh was going to be going on directly below us for the evening.. so our quiet night in turned into an evening of traditional Scottish music that felt like they were in the room with us.. not a lot can be done in those situations except to grin and bare it.. it would have been nice to have known and had the option of a room further away, as we literally could feel the vibrations going through us.. next morning we had breakfast, which personally I think could be served a little earlier that 8 am for early risers and people who want to make tracks.. the breakfast was ok.. the fried egg left a little to be desired.. but the rest was nice. Again nice friendly staff.
Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was good, but the dinner was amazing. I had the most delicious leek and potato soup and then venison. The atmosphere is so cool and interesting. I'm excited to go back this September!
Sorry I have to give this hotel 1 star purely for the springs on the bed digging into my back leaving me with severe back pain for 3 days. Im not being dramatic, I'm currently struggling to breathe as when I do the muscles in my back move and the pain is immense. Other than that it was a nice hotel but please change the mattresses! Room 27
This is my second holiday since 2019 it's a lovely hotel the staff are so helpful and friendly, but unfortunately at meal times the glasses were not clean I noticed lipstick all around the top of my glass, and the tea and coffee cups were dirty like they had not been washed at all so that is why I am giving this a 3 star rating.Rooms: 5/5
Very friendly cosy hotel. Nothing too much trouble. Great value for money, food of a very high standard Food & drinks: Everything cooked and presented to a high standard
