The hotel is currently being renovated, which is ok if they tell you this when booking. The breakfast items were old and we had a couple of issues including apple juice which was lumpy and fizzy melon. The issues were sorted quickly but shouldn't happen in the first place. The spa was good but very busy.
This place is so nice, spa facilities amazing, kept clean, safe n tidy. Rooms are spacious, well equipped with tea n coffee. Bathroom was a dream. Food amazing. The dance floor isn't very big, we couldn't see the tribute band whilst folk were dancing. Proper stage would be good. Parking is plentiful. Disabled parking aswell.
The room was comfortable and facilities pool and spa were good; the bar, food and their service good. But, they were doing work in the reception area, there was an error with my reservation and an error on room charges that I'm still trying to sort out. In terms of location, it's a place I would drive to if I returned, as pedestrian access from the road to reception isn't great.
Evening meal, lamb curry, great portions, taste and loads of meat. Rooms good however a couple of issues with respect to room cleanliness. Noise insulation great. I was on the side closest to main road, also wedding on the evening I stayed, heard nothing. Buffet breakfast great however staff appeared flustered several mins after 'opening time', coffee taking nearly 10 mins despite being first in. Will stay again.
Came for overnight stay 2 wks ago. Not sure if staff shortage in dining area, but mix up with food on couple of tables, my meal given to someone else and quite a delay. The waiter did not seem to know what he was doing. Lady server called Nikki was extremely helpful and managed to rectify the whole issues and gave us a free glass of wine.I am really happy with her attentiveness and sincere apologies. Overall, a lovely stay. Rooms: Rooms are a bit dated but clean
Nice friendly atmosphere. Stayed here lots of times. Only let down by some of the beds being uncomfortable. Once we figured out which rooms are good we try to book them ...Rooms: 4/5
Don’t want it to get busy but got to be honest. Awesome. I’m a member and I’ve been coming here for years. Friendly staff and helpful shout out to Kieran at the spa reception. And the rest of the crew. Awesome peopleRooms: 5/5
Always enjoy the spa and evening meal menu. This place holds a special place in our hearts. It's where we got married 26 years ago. Food & drinks: Good variety and choices on the menu.
Such a pleasure being there. Easy parking, country setting and a lovely room. Fabulous breakfast and service Rooms: Lovely room without the sense of "skimping". Ample Tea/coffee/milk etc. Big enough suite bathroom and thick carpets. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
A great stay over, my needs with food where catered for great staff, the manager understood my coeliac condition and was superb, with all foods I ate. 10/10 Rooms: Rooms are very cosy and homely Nearby activities: Spa and gym Food & drinks: Food was great, I was catered for really well as I am coeliac
