Excellent breakfast experience like other reviews have praised the cafe for. Well cooked and good value. Nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the views of the marketplace. Friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely come back.
Went on a Saturday, busy outside seating. We ordered 2 mochas and 2 cappuccinos to go as we said we'd sit elsewhere. After 20 minutes of waiting we went in to chase it as you would think you should be getting coffees quicker than 20 minutes. The owner in a very stressed out, completely uncaring tone "I'm doing them now just wait a few minutes". We then gave him the benefit of the doubt so went back outside to wait. A further 10 minutes of waiting 4 coffees appeared with a very hasty waiter who said under his breath "sorry for your wait". He then scurried inside. The coffees were way too hot to even drink and tasted worse than a McCafe coffee which comes from an automatic machine. I will never be coming here again, and after our experienced, am very surprised the rating it has. Poor service, poor coffee, and no remorse!

The cafe is lovely. We both had the Christmas special turkey sandwiches with chips. The sandwiches were delicious with really good quality turkey and the chips were perfect, crispy on the outside and really soft and fluffy in the middle. We even had coke from real glass bottles. The owner has even taken the time and effort to provide COVID safe booths which is very thoughtful and much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we felt the sandwiches were very good value for money.
Cosy place and friendly to a point. Had scones which I love, but they were full of cinnamon. They were advertised as fruit scones. Not pleasant in a scone especially with jam! Couldn't eat it but no offer of refund and it wasn't cheap.
Breakfast was amazing, lots of food and good quality. It is a very busy cafe with lots of regulars. If no seats available they do takeaway.
Staff were friendly and the food was good. however we asked if the eggs could be scrambled instead of fried and were told the chef doesn’t do scrambled eggs? Rather strange that a chef wouldn’t do scrambled eggs. Maybe an alternative to the egg could of been suggested if the chef is unable to cook scrambled eggs.
Very friendly and takes Covid precautions seriously. Recommended.
Went here Tuesday 4 lunch. Hubby had steak and ale pie, he makes a fantastic pie of his own so must've been good! I ordered food that was NOT on the menu. Staff were accommodating and fantastic, cafe was extremely clean and hygienic. The food was lovely, so nice we asked if we could buy some of their steak and ale pies to take home. They were great so pie it is at the weekend when we get home.
