Visited the hotel for a work meeting. The buildings themselves were stunning and the grounds was well kept. Facilities during the day were OK and staff were friendly and courteous. The food during the evening was OK but only average and not reflective of the stunning venue but not bad either. The hotel room was very comfortable and clean. The bar had a great selection of whisky however we were not exactly made to feel the most welcome by the staff in the bar and by 10pm it was felt as though they simply wanted us to leave even though we were residents. Breakfast was really good and great quality meat however again the service was lacking in efficiency with us waiting over half an hour to get served however its appreciated that they were busy. Overall the venue is fantastic and I would certainly recommend it to a friend
We had a special birthday lunch in one of the outdoor domes - the Sirius dome - and it was absolutely amazing. The food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable. I can’t overstate how friendly and helpful the staff were. A few of us are vegans and those menu options were delicious, and the children’s dairy free options were catered for with no issues. It was a warm day, but the air conditioning meant we had a perfect temperature and being able to connect our playlists to the wireless speaker was great. The venue and grounds are so beautiful, it was just what our birthday girl wanted for her special day. Thank you, Meldrum House!
Great lace out in the country side to come visit for a relaxing few days. The staff is very friendly and will do everything they can make your visit stress free. Parking on site, breakfast, lunch and dinner is available, with a two different options for lunch and dinner. Golf course was in great shape, and fun to play. They have a driving range, putting and chipping center to warm up in. There is a distillery near by, however, it’s small and yours sell out in advance. I would book early if you want to go.
We never stayed the night at Meldrum House, but we hired one of the domes for a lunch and it was fantastic! Great service, & great experience, definitely worth the money. The food was great too. It was for a birthday so definitely reccomend for a special event :Rooms: 5/5
I visited the hotel to celebrate a friends birthday with afternoon tea. It's a ritual I love and I've sampled afternoon tea all over the world, but this, in my opinion, was the best so far. The food, both savoury and sweet, was delicious especially that black pudding bon bon and the service was impeccable. I can't help comparing the experience with afternoon tea on the Queen Mary II which was enjoyable, but really didn't live up to the hype. The Meldrum House Hotel's afternoon tea is most definitely better! We were told that the menu was new for winter, so if you've already been there for afternoon tea, don't worry, you can do it again for an all new experience! As I have limited mobility at the moment I was especially grateful to the staff who found a wheelchair I could use as the walk which is not particularly long was too much for me. Everyone was so considerate, it was a really lovely experience and I very much look forward to visiting again.
We celebrated our Silver Anniversary by returning to the hotel we had our wedding reception in and taking advantage of your Celebration package including dining in a Dome. It was an exceptional experience both in a fabulous meal and superb service. The room we had, with balcony looking out over the golf course was ideal.Rooms: 5/5
Room was not well vacuumed, dirty, dirt or stains on the ceiling, broken door handle, torn pillows, internet did not work the entire stay, had to use a hotspot instead. The room was next to a door that was continuously slammed open and shut into the late evening, rubbish bin lids being slammed in the morning, bits of trash strewn about in some of the main corridors, genuinely the only redeeming quality was the shower was quite nice and hot, and the bathroom itself was clean. Booked a room that stated "All the rooms have a walk-in power shower and a bath". The room did not have a bath. The main driving path to the hotel is also in very desperate need of being repaved. Overall rather disappointed, and have yet to get a response back from management.
Stayed in pet friendly room. It was perfect and so many nice pet friendly touches. Check in and out smooth. Staff friendly and patient. Food and service fab. Highly recommend.Rooms: 5/5
