Brilliant food, but unfortuately I came in to contact with a manager named 'Peter'. 5 star minus 2 for him.

Having stayed in many hotels on many continents this has to be in the top 3. The staff are the beating heart of this amazing hotel.  Steeped in history and a mind boggling amount of original features and a warmth of character that's hard to find anywhere else.  You will find kindness overflowing and comfort by the bucket load.  Amazing food and drink and a real hidden gem with beautiful surroundings.

The atmosphere is excellent. The old house is amazing and the new ballroom extension adds ample function room. Staff are professional and courteous at all times
 The cave bar is excellent for an evening dram...or three!

Attended a lovely wedding as an evening guest in the Marquee. The Marquee is decorated very well, and despite the weather outside it was heated nicely with good space plus room to dance. The bar service was very good and pricing was reasonable. Also good service with the food too.
