I ordered a beef wrap, and the meat felt like chewing a paper, with other ingredients that seemed old. I understand it’s fast food, but it should not provide a poor quality. The staff also seemed tired and stressed during the lunch rush, which affected the service. It feels like the focus is more on making money than offering good food. For the same price, I’d rather go to Tahini’s in downtown, where the wraps are much more flavorful.
Villa Madinas food is good. But this particular locations staff is extremely rude. I have experienced it several times as it’s right across my office. They don’t even take your order completely. They don’t have the patience to let you choose what you want included or not. I have allergies and there was no one behind me in the line. Not a good experience.
The staff were nice and friendly, but my chicken sharwama was pretty tasteless. The rice was bland veggies wasn't fresh. Chicken was dry and seemed old. Not worth of almost $17 for sure.Food: 2/5
They don't make enough food. They count things and add them to your plate and take them back. Scotia Plaza is one of the busiest location . If you want to serve hundred people make enough food for 100 people. The box is so small. You have designed them in the smallest possible size from the bottom. You have to serve enough food when you charge almost $ 20/ plate.
Chicken was a little salty for my taste. The rice was okay. Potatoes with garlic sauce were tasty! I’d suggest taking that in the chicken rockbox than rice. Go easy on hot sauce. But overall it’s nice to have a halal restaurant in this food court.
Good Shawarma Sandwiches & Plates. Remember there is a regular sandwich & a super. So, order accordingly as food & price are different. This is located in underground food court in PATH. Right besides the entrance to ttc King station. Long line on weekdays during lunch hour. Decide your order quick as the guy is going to shout out to you while you are 10th in line. No pressure ; Parking: Located in downtown. You should be walking here.
A lot of the negative reviews are from before the renovations, and potentially there has been an owner change because this place is amazing. I usually get the chicken shawarma for lunch and it’s delicious every time. The chicken is also cooked to perfection, the ingredients are fresh, and the staff is friendly. Great lunch spot! Highly recommend :
Can't think of a better lunch food than this chicken shawarma platter from Villa Madina. A little pricey but is very filling with the generous rice, potatoes, and salads they offer on top of the shawarma meat. The flavours are fantastic and everything you'd expect in a high quality shawarma. I've gone back many times and always had the same quality food.
This is a pretty nice chain for a quick but massive bite. I generally visit this location for lunch when I feel like I want to treat myself, and I almost always end up going back to the office with many regrets and an afternoon crush. What I love the most about this place is the speed at which the food is served. This is a well oiled, fast paced, lunch machined capable of churning Shawarmas at incredible speeds. Honestly, I’m impressed every time I visit. Aside from the speed, price also plays a role. I generally settle on the beef and chicken mixed plate, and considering the price I find this combo hard to beat elsewhere. As far as quality goes, the food is great but it is fast food, so don’t expect a Michelin-star restaurant. Overall, the quality is comparable to other take out shawarma restaurants you’d find in Toronto.
The cashier added a TIP without my knowledge. Who tips on takeout? Why are people so shady and dishonest. You should be ashamed of yourself. Never going to come back.Food: 1/5
