I visit here once a week on foot because it has several shops in one place. What I don't like is that it can be quite difficult to browse the stores without feeling pressured to make a purchase in some of them. Since there are many shops, I like to compare prices before deciding where to buy. Sainsbury's makes this especially hard because you need to scan a barcode from the receipt, which someone once described as being 'like a prison.' My favorite shop is Poundland because it's very easy to browse, and the male staff member with curly hair at the checkout counter is always really nice. I also wish there were more shops.
I love this place for getting bargains, it’s the whole reason I go there. Lots of bargain stores in one place so you can get all your discount shopping in one go. I’m really sad Pound Stretcher has gone. It means one less place to get your bargains. I get different things in each shop and it saves me having to go all over the place to find bargain shops. But now I’ll have to find a pound stretcher somewhere else, which is annoying.nSo this place is bargain central, get all your bargain discount shopping in one place…but not as good as it was when it had Pound Stretcher too.
One stop shopnYou have all your groceries done with Sainsbury's & Lidl just next to each othernA Poundland & Home Bargains for all the accessories & whatever your home would neednUp on top you have your KFC, or on the main road a couple of good restaurantsnNot to forget the old Bingo
Plenty of free parking which is unusual in Edinburgh and lots of shops including Sainsbury. Within walking distance of Calton Hill monuments and fantastic views of the city
Plenty of spots Available , easy to get to and to stop off if Ur passing. Only a short walk to the parks passing some interesting stuff so you can venture around a bit. Sainsbury's is a bit weird. Self service felt like leaving a prison with the receipt tickets thing. Not being able to leave without scanning your receipt . Made it feel like a rough area. It wasn't pleasant walking back to the car.
