I’ve visited the McDonald’s in Canvey Island many times over the past 12 months, and every single visit has been excellent. The restaurant is always impeccably clean, which really stands out compared to many other places.nnThere’s also a disabled lady who works there with a bad arm who is always incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming. She’s consistently gone above and beyond every time I’ve been in, and she’s an absolute credit to the store.nnAnother thing that impresses me is the food presentation. Every time I’ve visited, the food has been put together exactly how it appears on the menu – which doesn’t always happen in fast food! It shows the staff really care about doing things properly.nnOverall, a fantastic McDonald’s with a hardworking and friendly team. Credit where it’s due — this particular branch is doing a great job.
I am writing this review to raise an issue with my recent order AM10, placed through the McDonald’s app and collected from the Northwich Retail Park, Canvey Island.nnAfter going through the drive‑thru, we were asked to wait in a parking bay. We waited around 15 minutes before our order was brought out, but it was missing three drinks and two large fries. The drinks were eventually brought out, and we were told the order was complete, even though the food was already getting cold.nnWhen we arrived home—only a four‑minute drive away—we discovered that one of the large fries was still missing. In addition, the Sprite tasted like soda water and was undrinkable.nnOverall, this was a very disappointing experience. We did not receive the full order we paid for, and what we did receive was cold and poor quality.
Opening times are not as published, last Friday it shut at 23:00. I tried to order ahead on the App at 22:30, the App stopped working at 19:57. I had to order in the restaurant and the POS screen would not accept my code. After 35 mins of trying, I managed to order. It took them 13 mins to produce the order. Many of customers were waiting too, several getting the wrong items in their orders. I had previously asked for an Americano, was given a Chocolate Shake, I only realised when I took a sip, the drink to me, was vile and I had to wait another 5 minutes for a coffee. The restaurant and sales advertising says we can order ahead. That has never worked. I was pinged my order was ready, 8 minutes later it came unannounced to the servery. This restaurant is poorly managed and served by kids who have zero customer service experience or respect.
Very clean, nice atmosphere, plenty of parking space I'm shocked at how clean it is inside. And most importantly, it's not BUSY like in London, for example. It's beautiful. I recommend this McDonald's
The food here is always cold, multiple times I’ve been given half my order this is the third time I’ve not received half the things I’ve payed for. the drive through is not a drive through its park up for 30 mins then get your food cold
