I’ve been eating at McDonald’s for a long time — both in the restaurant and by ordering delivery from the same location. The staff has always been friendly and polite. Unfortunately, last Friday evening after eating a burger, I got severe food poisoning and I still haven’t fully recovered. It’s very disappointing because I used to trust this place. Despite the good service, I don’t think I’ll be coming back after this experience.

I’ve been visiting this McDonalds for the guts of 30 years. I live equidistant from this one and Glengormley one. Abbey Centre, or, Lesley Abbey Centre as it is now, is consistently the worst performing outlet not only between the 2 in Newtownabbey, but on the planet. And I’ve dined in different McDonalds in 30 different countries. Here’s a summary of the last few months.n1. 1st August - Forgot Chilli dipn2. 11th August - Fries coldn3. 19th August - Fries wilted, tasted of cooking oil only. Not potato.n4. 10th September - Food was good. But forgot the Chilli dip again. Luckily, I had the sense to check before driving off. Although when I asked for it, they tried to charge me, despite ordering a 5 piece Chicken Selects meal, and the dip comes with. She then through it at me.n5. 26th September - Ordered Big Mac, only cheese, no dressing. Came with dressing. Had to scrape it all off, but only managed one bite. Luckily I ordered Chicken McNuggets as well. Phew!n6. 4th October - Again, fries were limp, soft, tasted of the oil they were cooked in.nnI think the dominating factor is being asked to park in the waiting bay. So, on my next visit, when they ask me to park in the waiting bay, I will politely decline, and cite the details of this post.

Cool place, good service

Ordered to pick food via the app tonight and whilst waiting on our order in Bay 2, a young gentleman couldn't catch his name went above and beyond with his service and ensured our order was given to us timely. Would definitely recommend ordering from this McDonald's as the staff is generous, friendly and deliver exceptional customer service. Shout-out to the young gentleman working there who gave us our order on time and mcflurry's whilst we waited. You're a star

Absolutely awful, first of all the only card machine they have was not working, second of all the employees can't read a few letters on a screen to get my order right, completely wrong and when I was told to wait at a bay for 5 minutes they came out with half of my order. They left and came back again, but this time missing a straw. Had to do without and somehow them getting my order wrong left me with a free bag of fries but they didn't purposefully give me it as it was part of the wrong order. Waste of time. Food is alright.
