it's ok for what it is. a bit of price gouging, they do tend to charge very high for small, common items (bread, milk, and especially soft drinks) but are quite reasonable for alcohol, sundries, sweets they make a good trade from the dockyard digs residents, and the local sherbrooke kids. the shop has operated over a number of different franchises over the years but is commonly referred to locally as the 'Sherbrooke Spar'

Typical Mccoll's, prices are very high for things that are usually cheap. This particular store is bigger than the surrounding ones, and also offers costa coffee. Staff working at the checkout in the morning do not seem to be in a rush, and work very slowly even if there is a queue - chatting away to frequent customers even when they have already paid.
