I can’t say enough kind words about the lovely staff and pharmacists at McCabes Citywest, always understanding and kind. They really go above and beyond, this is how a pharmacy should run, kind and knowledgeable staff, understanding pharmacists that always treat you with dignity and care. Thanks for everything. Joe

I had a few problems with them.  They try, but I don't think it's enough.  They didn't inform me that my regular prescription had expired, but they gave me 10 days of meds while I was getting a new prescription.  Last year, they didn't have a supply of the medicine that I have to take every day otherwise I can't function as normal for over 2 weeks, they finally printed out the prescription they had from the doctor and I went to another pharmacy.  Another situation, I get a message that there are medications to collect, then I check my bag and 1 or 2 medications are missing.  Unfortunately, there are a lot of such situations during the year, more or less stumble.

Super bad service. Its the fourth time I made My GP send online prescription here and if I call on phone, no one picks up. You should go there and wait 40 mins or so to get it. Absolutely no point in sending a prescription here. This time I was particularly annoyed as I tried ringing them for 20 mins and went there  only to know they wouldn't dispense the medicine until next day morning, because they are closing in 20 mins ! Will never use them again. My girl is really sick and have to wait a night until have the medicine. What a stupid way of dealing with customers ! Fairly reflected in the reviews. I should have checked.

Be careful with this pharmacy. They will try to sell you branded medicine instead of generic ones that are exactly the same but cheaper. I asked the pharmacist for Ibuprofen generic and she tried to sell me Nurofen - Ibuprofen generic is much cheaper and is EXACTLY the same product. When she tried to give me Nurofen, I said I don't want it and she told me is the same. When I answered that what I want is cheaper she changed her face, like "so what?". Always make sure you ask for GENERIC medicine as is always cheaper and is exactly the same like BRANDED ones, but much cheaper. Pharmacy will always try to sell you the expensive medicines as they earn more money.

I am done with his Pharmacy in Citwesty shopping centre. Prescriptions are never read based on their timelines the Pharmacy gives  and when one calls in hours after the time is due staff have on 2 occasions been rude and abrupt telling me to wait until they call me. On Friday I went in looking for cough medicine and staff behind counter tells me "go there". I end up struggling to figure out what I needed and a friend of another staff member walks in and says she jus got botox. Her mother prefers to go to therapie Clinic for her botox. All the while the shop assistant leaves me searching for the correct cough mixture and out of frustration I left and found what I needed somewhere else.

Have bought my usual hair dye from this pharmacy twice now and both times it didn’t change my hair colour in the slightest which usually indicates the product is really old. Clearly McCabes are not selling their products fast enough and they are just lying there for years. I spent 15 euro on a hair dye that doesn’t work. Everything in this pharmacy is overpriced anyway and I will never return.

Highly unprofessional and disorganized, staff is very rude, especially a girl with big fat fake eyelashes. The very hairy loud guy opposed the doctor recommendations from my prescription, and said that I should take medicine twice a day, not once a day like doctor recommended, terrible experience.  I would not recommend to anyone.

My opinion about this pharmacy has changed over time. Previously, I really hated the experience where the medicine and everything will have unforecasted delays and often order of delivery will take times.  However, recently they have made the experience much better. The in-store pharmacist really took care of our needs. The over-email prescription orders are filled very quickly and communications are timely.  If consistency can be ensured, I think I can trust this pharmacy which was not the case earlier.

I left 2 prescriptions at their pharmacy in Citywest. When i came to collect my medication and asked where is my other prescription and medicine, they told they dont have it, in other words, they lost my prescription! What incompetence! How pharmacy can lose your prescription? Only disorganised, irresponsible and incompetent person working there can lose a prescription.

Just had my flu vaccine with a very pleasant pharmacist great set up..iv been getting my prescription here for a long time and find the service very efficient . .And love the new refurbishment Great chemist ..
