Yes good new pool.excellent pool well designed whitest a bit shallow..lacks colour and its a pity no view out for natural light..ok people must not look in must they?..no training pool for children and learners.nChanging rooms first class as we're showers.and staff very friendily.nOverall good average but dull pool...no sauna.nShame about it being with no windows...but no doubt it's what the majority of people want. I recently visited the Mayfield Leisure Centre and was shocked to receive a £100 parking fine from Euro Car Parks, particularly as it was my first time visiting. While I was there to use the facilities as a paying customer, I missed the signage requiring payment to park. The signs are not obvious enough for first-time visitors, and this experience left a very bad impression. I understand the need for parking rules, but penalizing genuine customers in this way feels excessive and unfair. I hope the leisure center will reconsider its partnership with Euro Car Parks or at least work with the staff on site to inform first time customers of the need to pay before they enter.nnAs for the staff, unprofessional is putting it kindly. I saw lifeguard staff on their mobile phones poolside putting music on. How does this ensure safety of swimmers?nnThe facilities are of a really poor standard. For example, there are no hangers to put your clothes, the showers waste a lot of water because they don’t shut and run in perpetuity.
I had a terrible experience at Mayfield Leisure Centre due to the rude behavior of a receptionist named Mr. Harpreet. Instead of offering assistance, he told a customer to “go away,” which is completely unacceptable. Staff members at a community facility like this should be friendly, approachable, and helpful, but unfortunately, this was not the case. It’s clear that proper customer service training is needed to ensure that staff treat visitors with respect. I hope the management takes this issue seriously and provides the necessary training for their employees.
Bloke at reception did not even tell us to put number plate down for parking when attending swimming session - week later received £100 fine. Reception manager was extremely rude and did not want to help out at all in order to cancel the fine. Bunch of scammers, common courtesy to let customers know to register vehicle on the tablet device.
Changing/showering facilities are deteriorating fast. The entire changing room smelled like urine and no showers were working.nnSwimming instructors are brilliant and they are the only reason we keep going back.nnReception staff are on the whole great - helpful and polite. There are a few that dont even pretent to care and should really look for alternative employment.
