MayMays does the best chips locally hands down, freshly cooked and crispy. The fish is also about the best I've found, again cooked from fresh while you're waiting, rather than being cooked at some indeterminate time in the past and put in the "hot top" Big Chippy I'm looking at you here !. The service is always fast and efficient, and they deserve a "best chippy in Prescot" rating. To the person who didn't like the sweet and sour sauce - they do two variants, the Cantonese version is slightly more spicy than you might expect, the other is cooked without batter on the chicken if I remember correctly, with more vegetables. The container being open might have been caused by the bag being knocked as you got in the car, but that's beyond their control.
My grandad loves this chippy I really do not have a clue why I put up with it until tonight we’re we phoned up for a collection we’re my husband asked for chicken satay and the container was half open so half of his food was in the bag when my grandad got home then I asked for sweet & sour chicken and they asked if I wanted chicken in cantonise which quote me if I’m wrong is a completely different sauce got given jelly in a cup and chicken in batter separate I wish I could post a picture I have never been given it like this before I am disappointed and horrified that I will never ever go to this chippy again vile vile place this isn’t the first time we’ve been given a meal the complete opposite to what we have asked for !!!!! Would give it a minus star if it was an option
Just had the nicest curry rice, chips!, and a portion of wor tips where you can never get anywhere. Must try! Lovely service! 5 stars!!!
Was once good with authentic meals. Poor quality,poor presentation same price as before ,will not return.
