Maximini Chinese Restaurant

About

"Like shoe designing, whipping up a great dish is an art", says Jimmy Choo

Story

Jimmy Choo has ventured into the world of food with Maximini, an oriental restaurant near Hyde Park where the celebrity shoe smith is bringing a slice of his Malaysian home to Britain. As beautifully dressed as any of Jimmy's A-list clients, Maximini is simplistic and chic with a hint of old fashioned colonial style which perfectly suits it's fabulous Bayswater address.
The irresistible Malaysian dishes are fused with more familiar Chinese flavours by master chef Albert Koh, to produce an innovative and exciting menu which, like a timeless pair of heels, looks set to become this season's must-have.

We look forward to welcoming you at Maximini Chinese Restaurant.

Very nice place in the heart of London … all meats are halal … including beef chicken and duck… we went their three times during August second week with all our gang and loved the place… weather was beautiful and always sat outside … ordered multiple dishes but loved their beef black been sauce , chilli prawns and chicken noodles … quick in service …
Visited twice. By far the best Halal Chinese in London! Situated in a beautiful location, staff is very friendly and polite. We ordered sweet n sour chicken, crispy beef chilli, crispy duck and very delectable deep fried ice cream. Food tasted amazing. 100% recommended!
## A Culinary Adventure at Maximini Chinese Restaurant Maxamini Chinese Restaurant recently took me on a delightful journey through the world of Chinese cuisine. From the moment the dishes arrived, it was clear that quality and flavor were top priorities. Let's delve into the specifics: * **Chicken in Chilli Sauce:** This dish was a symphony of sweet and heat. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, while the chilli sauce offered a delightful kick without overpowering the palate. Each bite was a delicious balance that left me wanting more. * **Egg Fried Rice:** This seemingly simple dish was pure comfort food perfection. The rice was fluffy and perfectly seasoned, with each fluffy grain absorbing the flavors of the other dishes on the table. It was the ideal accompaniment, neither bland nor overpowering. * **Spicy Chicken Noodles:** For those who crave a fiery adventure, the spicy chicken noodles did not disappoint. The noodles had a satisfying chew, and the chicken was plentiful and flavorful. The real star was the perfectly balanced spice level, offering a delicious heat that built gradually without being overwhelming. * **Laksa Prawn and Chicken:** This rich and flavorful soup was a revelation. The broth was deeply satisfying, bursting with complex flavors. The prawns were plump and fresh, while the chicken added a delightful savory element. Every spoonful was a celebration of Southeast Asian cuisine. Overall, Maximini Chinese Restaurant exceeded expectations. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each dish had its own distinct character, yet they all came together to create a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, Maximini is a must-try. **Highly recommended!** Parking: Free limited street parking on Sundays
A bit on expensive side in comparison to the prices and the portion sizes served. Crispy beef didn’t look or taste like beef. We got rice in two different bowls because they ran out of bowls. Even we were only party in restaurant at the time. One of the rice bowl was clearly small. But we were charged as large portion.Food: 3/5
Being from Dubai went to the restaurant at 8.45 not knowing the London timing. Still all of them were very welcoming and treated very well. Little goes without saying this was the best Chinese I had in town and would rate it better than the Chinese restaurants in Dubai. As it was the last order of the day, ordered soup, Prawns and Chicken Fried Rice. It was simply out of the world. Will highly recommend this restaurant to all visiting London Paddington. Superb.
Wonderful, authentic Chinese food and all Halal. Had very nice chicken wonton soup, lemon chicken, crispy chili beef, and beef with flat noodle.Food: 5/5
Some dishes were delicious. All of them were cooked slightly differently than the usual you find in other restaurants. Normally that would put me off. But that wasn’t the case. Beef in black bean sauce was delicious! The sauce was not as thick as you would normally find but the consistency went with the taste and it tasted amazing! Wonton soup was slightly bland, just the broth. The rest of the ingredients in the broth were quite flavorful. Flat noodles were also packed with flavor! Crispy duck tasted nicer than what I have tried in most places but I wouldn’t call it outstanding. Portion sizes could be slightly bigger. We needed to order at least 3 dishes for 2 people. Overall ambience was great! Its located in a quiet area and its quite a nice place to go on a date or celebrate with a friend or partner
Went here today with my husband and had a great time. The food is really tasty. It has a peppery spice to it, which we both really liked. It comes fairly quick and the portions are a good size. The beef was really tender and full of flavour, but my favourite was the chicken. I also highly recommend the hot and sour soup, it was really good and the portion is even big enough for two people to dip in as a starter :
Being adventurous and always looking to try new and different cuisines, I was doing some research on Halal Chinese restaurants. I came across Maximini in Paddington. The food and atmosphere was second to none! I am so glad that I spent my afternoon here. As nice and beautiful as the food was, it was nowhere near as beautiful as the manager, Anna. She was extremely professional, kind and courteous. By far one of the most amazing and awesome personalities, I've had the pleasure of meeting and talking to! She went above and beyond to ensure that I have the best restaurant experience. A massive thank you to Anna and the team. I will definitely be returning!
This is a good and Upscale place. They charge 12.5% service fixed - non removable, for 4 or more people which did irritate me. Service is good and food is quickly served. We had hot and sour soup not sure if it was hit and sour or something else plus Tom yum soup was amazing. Highly recommended. We also had duck , tiger prawns , sweet and sour chicken ok and chilli chicken ok as well egg fried rice were ok. Overall bill 95£ for 2 adults and 2 kids without any drinks. Food wise taste is good and it’s halal so an added plus .. definitely coming back..
