We weren’t able to walk across the bridge, but it was really cool to see from the neighboring viewpoints.nCambridge is a beautiful city to walk around - with many famous spots connected to historical figures. We had a wonderful time in Cambridge!nnThis was all a very reasonable walk from the train station too.
Iconic & Landmark Bridge in CambridgenThe Mathematical Bridge is probably the most iconic bridge in Cambridge. It is beautiful and so unique. The way this was assembled in order to have no screws and just be auto-carried is an exceptional feat. Today It actually has some screws as they needed to make sure it remains, but still very impressive.nThis bridge is over the river Cam so Cam Bridge--> Cambridge has many bridges as the name indicates.nThis is one of the main features and can only be visited if you visit Queens college. Highly recommended by us!
Chiếc cầu gõ nhỏ nhắn bắc qua sông Cam liên kết từ những thanh gỗ có cấu trúc vòm khiễn nó vô cùng vững chắc.nThe Mathematical Bridge is a wooden footbridge in the southwest of central Cambridge, England. It bridges the River Cam about one hundred feet northwest of Silver Street Bridge and connects two parts of Queens' College. Its official name is simply the Wooden Bridge or Queens' Bridge. It is a Grade II listed building.nThe bridge was designed by William Etheridge, and built by James Essex in 1749. It has been rebuilt on two occasions, in 1866 and in 1905, but has kept the same overall design. Although it appears to be an arch, it is composed entirely of straight timbers built to an unusually sophisticated engineering design, hence the name.
An iconic Cambridge landmark. Doesn’t take much effort to check it out - easy to fit it in during a trip to Cambridge.
