East to find .easy to park as there are lots of spaces.£1 to park on there.nlarge store and always a sale on .staff were helpful, not much for men in there, but that's the same everywhere you go .I only went for a voucher, but I did like a coat in sal, so I will go back and buy it as it was a bargain .
Matalan, Rhyl is a good retail point where customers go to find value fashion and homeware. It is well-structured and allows the customer to weave through an enormous amount of stock for men, women, and children, including chic home accessories. The customers find the quality worth the price they pay, while the staff is often friendly and very helpful. Although it gets busy, especially on weekends, this is generally a nice place to shop. Matalan in Rhyl is absolutely a place to be for bargain hunters seeking uptodate items.
I went in got lots of shopping, £94+. The service at the till was so bad, that I left the store feeling so disgruntled and unhappy with my purchases that the very next day I took it all back and got a refund. I was holiday shopping and that should be where you feel good because its a part of your holiday.
Less person friendly than it used to be as now mostly bar one till is all self checkout payment terminals! Floor and walkways quite cluttered and displays have been moved to centre of the walkways so if your disabled, in a wheelchair or mobile scooter or with pushchair it really makes navigating around the shop difficult. There are some good buys, but some of the fashions, shirts, patterns, and styles and summer stuff are not to everyone's taste. There is plenty of choice of children's clothes at competitive prices. There is plenty of parking and some disabled bays right by the door, but then you will have the problem of navigating the ailes with display stands in the middle of. Please, matalan, bring back the personal touch with manned tills as not everyone likes self checkout!! Update Oct 2024 ... nice to see notice has been taken of the complaints of the cluttered walkways through the shop now more disabled friendly . There are plenty of new season fashions at competitive prices. Still got the unfriendly self-service tills bar one.
It's interesting to report that Matalan is still Matalan. Some places seem to resist change. Matalan is such a place. Mataln looks and feels the same as it did a couple of decades ago. The only glaring difference at Matalan is a lack of shopfloor staff, that and the seemingly indifferent checkout assistant that served us at Matalan's till. Otherwise, Matalan is solidly Matalan and should not be confused with Primark or other 'lesser' outlets that are clearly not Matalan. I trust I have managed to make it clear that this review concerns Matalan.
