I am very disappointed with my recent visit to Matalan in Bognor . First of all there  are far too much clothes in the shop to even work out what you want to have a look at. Also it was quite difficult to manoeuvre a pushchair around the store. The main reason for the bad review. I was shopping with my mother  that has a bowel condition. She uses the “just can’t wait card” if she is desperate. Which is showed a member of staff but She got refused!!!!! And got told to go to KFC. I am appalled at the fact they wouldn’t let her use a toilet and think that is very bad customer service. My Family and I won’t be shopping here  again. Unless these things changed.

Tills today seriously understaffed. On self service had to wait ages for help as card not accepted and staff member very unfriendly and grumpy and had to get her back to finish transaction as I was left part way through. Products were great value and super selection but staff attitude and such slow service to help us spoilt our trip. A smile goes a long way

I managed to get some really nice bargains. Nice clean open shop with friendly staff.

Whilst you use comments like a more efficient service I know customers prefer interaction with an employee.personally I do not like being told to use a self service machine, other stores offer a choice. The decision to replace staff with machines is a bad one.

No customer service, as they watched me scan and bag the items I wished to buy, no one told me I had to take off the  security tags. So when I get home, all my stuff still has the security tags on, no friendly, helpful staff.

Unfortunately, they did not have  a huge selection of womens coats for my wife to choose from.

Good place to visit, clothes for female and male plus children. Home ware aswell.

Called into Bognor hoping to buy all sorts but no toilets now so could not linger!! My husband bought t shirt and found all self service tills! So no toilets and no staff no good . Shall not bother in future

Yeah, as one would expect, there is a wide spectrum of products available as were the clientele.

Came here for waterproofs but couldn’t find someone on floor to help me find any and had to go to the till which took me to the wrong place so went to Halfords instead
